And you do not have to be able to do a handstand to do a reverse one. Do you have Veena's lessons at all? Basically you stand with your back to the pole, bend over and then put your climbing leg on the pole, push into the pole with your leg and lift the other to the pole. Once you have your legs locked you can inch your hands backward toward the pole, repositioning your legs as necessary until you are in full inverted crucifix position.

Also if you search on dubstep here on teh forum you will find lots of music suggestions and also lots of videos that have already been done to dub.
I love Promises by Nero/Skrillex, Eyes on Fire- Zeds Dead, and Massive Attack – Paradise Circus Zeds Dead. I seem to like a lot of Flux Pavillion remixes, too as I have a bunch of them downloaded. I have linked a post by Alethea in the past and I will see if I can find it again. During Bring Back Sexy week she was looking to dance to dub and there were a TON of really good sexy suggestions.

There are more than you think! Take a look around and see for yourself. Probably our most famous is Lulu, Minicoopergirl, who was on America's Got Talent. I would also recommend Confessions of a Twirly Girl's blog (http://lolorashel.blogspot.com/).

It is an outside leg hang however you have your leg straight which means you are using more of the upper body contact for your grip which can be a little dangerous.

When I was teaching I taught reverse handstand first and then from there had them start letting go with their hands until they had the inverted crucifix position and could hold it by themselves. To me it is important to have this solid before ever doing any type of invert because this is your escape if anything goes wrong. Also, can you hold a regular crucifix? Granted gravity is working differently but if you have the technique for holding the pole with just your legs typically it is just a little adjustment to get it inverted.

Thsi is what I got off another site:
"If you're in Australia you need to pick up your diary, calendar, iPhone whatever and put a reminder in there for the 24th January 2013! Because on this day the documentary Blood, Sweat and Sequins will be aired on SBS.
Blood, Sweat and Sequins follows Chelle Hafner, Cleo and Miss Filly as they prepare to compete for the title of Miss Pole Dance Australia 2012. The trailer looks amazing, giving you a glimpse into the lives and training schedules of some of Australia's best pole dancers. "

Agggghhhh!!!!! Why did I not see this earlier?? I am also in Cleveland. There are 2 schools in town, Be Studios and Cleveland Exotic Dance; you should consider looking in to one of them at least for a few lessons here and there. If you have any questions about eitehr just shoot me a mail through this site. There are also jams typically once a month at Cleveland Exotic. They just had one two weeks ago so there probably will not be one again until January since they have a showcase coming up this month.

Here is the thread but I guess she does a knee hook down. The links are broken since it is so old and I cannot look on YT because of it being blocked at work. Is this maybe what you were talking about?

YES….I had posted this a while back. It was a Wendy Traskos video and I know that Mary Ellyn had commented on it. Let me see if I can track down the thread.

Also whey isolates tend not to cause issues with lactose intolerant people. There is a company called 4ever Fit out of Canada (I believe) that makes some really yummy fruit flavored isolates.

If I was practicing for a show I would either ask if I could bogart the system for at least one of two run throughs but besides that I would figure out a way for me and a set of headphones. To me that is just rude to other people to expect to just hear "my song".
No teaching…was this expressly aimed at those in attandance or as a general, "we will have instructors there to spot/be available however they will not be tehre to teach you anything"? If I am there with a friend I am so giving pointers on stuff I know or she would be giving me pointers. I do not see this as "teaching".
When you go in just say that you are particular about your stuff and would prefer a way to keep an eye on it. I am sure this is not the worst request that they have gotten.
I would say in any situation it is always best to talk to an employee of an establishment if you have concerns/issues. I may have even brought up the personal stuff question on the phone prior to even stepping foot into the studio.

Yeah, I bought my LM 5 years ago for $140 on ebay and ended up selling it less than 2 years ago for $100.
-
You can find a used Lil Mynx typically for around $150 (and I wanty to say a little over $200 new?)
This is the safest of the lower price poles and will do you well for many many many years. Keep an eye on craigslist in your area as shipping is what will run you up on a used pole.

MemberDecember 5, 2012 at 7:29 am in reply to: I’m thinking of entering into my first competition! From my undersatnding there are going to be regional comps and then those winners will go on to a comp at Midwest. I am not exactly sure how the whole thing is being planned, maybe ME can pop in and explain it all.
I will state again that out of all of the comps this is probably one of the most transparent when it comes to everything. There are so many poorly run competitions that have no transparency whatsoever when it comes to who gets in, how things are scored, etc etc etc.

I bought some at S Factor Houston over a year ago. On me they only come up about mid thigh but they are super comfy and warm. They probably are only 36".
There were some listed from Yandy a little while back on the forum, also but that site is blocked to me at work.

When I had posted this on a facebook group that was one thing I had mentioned, you really cannot transition into an extended butterfly fom it becaseu you are totally facing the pole. But I wonder if it is a good move to be able to get your balance for things like split grip inverted moves?
-
Yes, please post prices as I have been meaning to order the Live Once ones but keep forgetting.
-
As I followed up, people call it a modified butterfly or butterfly with cross hands. For some reason many moons ago in a forum far far away I thought I saw this listed as another name.
-
I am. In butterfly you typically have right hand high/right leg on pole or left hand high/left leg on pole. ((HAhaha…ME's photo came up first in my image search))

What I am asking about is right hand high/left leg on pole or left leg high/right leg on pole.
