Jenn, what you did is exactly it.  For somereason I was trying to hook the outside leg and get myself up and it was not working out so good.

Get what you want.  I have not had issues with chrome but almost always do with stainless.  SS seems to be finikier for me.  As far as the pole coming down, that is not an XPole issue but a not putting up the pole properly issue.

I will say though that this past weekend at the Karol workshop I was at a girl ripped her hand open on a brass pole.  It had gotten so hot and so grippy that she literally ripped her skin on the flashy part of her hand.

The way a lot of people learn this is from a one handed chair.  Forget about kicking out and everything until you get the mechanics of this move.  In the one handed chair let your body come around to the front of the pole before you reach around and grab the pole behind you.  Once you get that down then start working on getting air.  Do you have Veena's lessons?  I know this is in one of them.

    This is a plow:

After doing a little more research it is the outside leg that hooks and you need to go into a shoulder stand prior to hooking the legs.  I was trying to hook the outside leg or both legs on the pole and pulling myslef up but I was not getting enough clearance to get my bottom leg straight.

This is the thread where it was discussed.  I gues both Karol and Alethea have done this move.

That was not it but that is an idea.

  • Aslo curious if the BV and yeast are happening back to back?  They are the polar opposites of each other and tend to occur when you over treat one.  THere is a very delicate balance of yeats and bacteria in our lady bits.  Sometimes if you kill off too much yeast it will swing things the opposite direction and you will get BV and vice versa.  Boric acid, garlic and cider vinegar can be your best friends at the start.  Google it and you will understand.

If velcro will not work 3M also makes a velcro type hanger in theri Command line that is strong enough to hold pictures on the wall.

I would really like to see what your regualr SM looks like.  In your one from the floor you are grabbing the pole with your foot before your hips are close to being toward the pole and pulling yourself in with your feet instead of your abs.  Are you able to do a SM V and hold it?  It looks like you are having issues getting your hips to the pole.

  • Men can also carry BV and yeast infections and reinfect you.

Do you take a good probiotic daily?  I would look into that and also look into taking folic acid on a daily basis.  I get BV a few times a year due to having an IUD and these two preventative measures have helped immensely.

Reading back up through the threads….looks like they had 21 poles set up and Felix's workshops were 2-3 per pole.  Not sure if they will do it any differently this year.

I personally would never take a workshop at something this large.  Gotta figure, maybe 50-100 per class…how much one on one time do you really think you are going to get??  Save your money and take the local ones.

As for just going to enjoy the weekend…I would do that just for the chance to meet so many forums peeps at one time.

Angel, check out Swanson vitamins.  I FINALLY found what supposedly is in shakeology and every single one of those is available as a supplement.  I have issues with companies that never tell you how much of anything is actually in their product.  I also have issues with many of the forms of the minerals they include as most are the cheapest form that is not really bioavailable.  The following link is from an independant company that I believe sent the product for testing.

And many of the reasons you are all stating si the reason I carry a small bottle of alchol with me whenever I publicly pole.  There are SOOOOOO many women wearing thongs and miniskirts that hump the pole…need I say more??  I have seen more things out in public than I have in any class.
