Yeah…don't suggest looking at the rest of the website either (although I am not sure if the website is as fun as the store). A friend of mine/burlesque dancer here in Cleveland is the manager of this store.

Where are you performing?

Awww…you know you would like both.

The pole that is comparable to an XPole is going to be 1275 canadian, that is not including shipping.

As someone who has complained quite a few times about the original search function I thank you!

((cough cough)) Veena's Gallery ((cough cough))
I think you can also download the PFA dictionary for free. There is also a free version of pocket pole that has a bunch of pictures.
If you are any good with computers you could easily put together your own set of flashcards and then get it printed on card stock at an office store or on your own computer for a fraction of the cost.

Here is a discussion from a while back: https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/ps_glow_pole_2009-12-10_144942

There has been talk about these in the past. They are for show pretty much only. If I remember correctly they are made out of acrylic which will scratch easily, has god awful grip, and burns your hands on spins.

MemberApril 27, 2012 at 7:44 am in reply to: Cradle into Butterfly (and other transitions)The big thing for me on this move is to remember to lower that bottom hand. If your hand stays where it is for cradle it is really really really hard to push yourself up and into position. Once you get the foot up there slide your hand down the pole a bit and then try.
I have been doing chopper, side V, butterfly, inverted crucifix, reverse climb, shoulder dismount lately.

There has been some discussion on Ohio Peace and Pole regarding it. Seems a little "odd" to say the least. Nubian Beauty Productions does not seem to exist and the phone listed is a cell phone. Whoever it is has contacted one studio in Cinci and one in Youngstown to use their studio for tryouts.
-
Actually this is not it. We were finally able to get a flyer that was sent to a studio. I am not sure if this will post or not:
It is being put on by Nubian Beauty Productions and it says it is supposed to be at Duke Energy Convention Center on May 26, however it is not listed on the convention center site.

MemberApril 26, 2012 at 4:09 pm in reply to: Seeking nutrition advice–anyone tried Poletein? Here is the boook on Amazon (published in 2010): http://www.amazon.com/Essentials-Creatine-Sports-Health-Jeffrey/dp/1617377198
From the back cover: "A great deal of misinformation is present in popular culture regarding the effects of creatine supplementation on health and sports performance. For instance, it is not uncommon for various media outlets to claim, in spite of the lack of supporting evidence, that 'supplementing with creatine is harmful to the liver and kidneys and may cause dehydration and cramping.' In reality, creatine is intimately involved in energy metabolism, performance, and training adaptations, and, recently, several studies have uncovered its potential clinical application toward treating various neuromuscular diseases and maintaining brain function. This book unifies the sum of information on how creatine affects body composition, exercise performance, and health. Because the body of data on creatine is ample and constantly growing, a book such as this is a timely and important resource for the clinician, the coach, and the sports scientist."
I am not trying to be argumentive, please do not take that from me. I enjoy debates and learning experiences. If you have studies that you can point me to I would love to read them. As much as I hate to post an article that was written in a magazine I have come to trust much of the articles that have been written by Kennedy Publishing as they really cover their bases and don't write fluff. I am really very harmless and just a knowledge junkie. I know I have pissed off a few people on this board when I have called their views into question but it is never done to be spiteful and the only time I have gotten nasty is when I have been attacked first. I am one who will access pubmed to actually read the studies because I am stupid like that (I also read a lot of federal codes and bills because so much of the media picks and chooses sections instead of understanding the whole thing).

Good to know. I had no idea they made home use poles!
