Had none of you seen Ukraine’s Got Talent last year? She was all over the internet, youtube and pretty much here while the competition was going going on. I have seen so many videos titled “best pole dancer” this or that or what have you. For the longest time Jenyne’s dance to Florence and the Machine was labelled as “the best”. Felix has been labelled as “The Best”.

The joints have also been redesigned and don’t have as many issues as the old ones.

The only thing I can think of that is currently going on is insurance issues. I know a lot of competitions and showcases and such are losing money this year too. Stagnant wages combined with increasing insurance and food costs have finally come to a head. People do not have the extra income to attend shows like this. Hell, the hotel rooms were *discounted* to $179 a night.

this is the one that usually travels around. it has been held in Florida, Baltimore and LA and I’m pretty sure this is the one that jessalyn puts on.

I don’t know where you live but I would highly suggest seeing if anyone has either near you. I know people who love their SSA’s and I know people who love their X’s. I personally would not want either as my main pole. They are great for performances and if you have ridiculously high ceilings where you cannot have a pole made and installed safely.

I think the max safe height for the ssa is 8 feet (don’t quote me on that). The X comes already at 9. The other big question is the material the pole is made of.

I hate to bring this up, but look up Veena’s SSA vs X video. while this was a previous version of the pole, the only major difference in design is how the pole pieces go together. I would link it however I am on my phone.

I am 5’8″. When I invert on the ssa my feet are over the top of the pole. I cannot use a 6 foot pole comfortably.

PS is trying to change their image once again. They know they have issues. For a short time they had someone really good but they ended up getting rid of her and went back to their SOS. Things to note: PS standard pole is only about 6 foot so if you want more pole you will need to pay for more extensions. X is heavy but the pole is about 9 feet right out of the box. I still personally do not trust the PS poles because the base is just too light for my weight and height.

In that second video she takes it to a shoulder dismount.

OK, now I understand. All she is doing is a grounded entry into butterfly and then taking it all the way over.

From the description it almost sounds like what she does after the knee hold in this video (about 2:20 in)

Bad Kitty in Myrtle is NOT the same as Bad Kitty pole wear! I think this is where the confusion has come in. And the only reason I know that is because I saw the store last month and found it amusing.

What is above the drop ceilings? You can always remove a panel to be able to use your pole.

There are I think like 4 studios around Houston. What part of the city are you going to be in? This usually will play a part in where you end up because Houston traffic SUCKS!!!!! I have been to S Factor and Poleteaz and I think there is Verticality and Inner Me. Oops, looks like there is another called Revolve. Hopefully some of the Houston girls will chime in as I know there are a few here.

One of the clubs in Pa has a shower and a cop car. The shower was pretty expensive and you could also pay for 2 girls in it. The cop car was fun because they turned the seats around and they actually treated you like you were getting arrested and then you had your lap dance inside with flashers going and everything.

It sooooooo depends on the area. The clubs that are near airports or high business areas can pull in lots of clientele most days of the week although taking business men out to the clubs has been getting more and more frowned upon by businesses. Money is definitely made doing private dances or VIP. My niece can pull in $500 for an hour in VIP before payout here in Raleigh. She only works weekends and typically makes $500-1000 a weekend.

Polebunny, there is Michigan Pole Fest this weekend in Detroit. You missed pole at The Arnold at the beginning of March in Columbus. I would follow Infinity Aerial on Facebook as Val typically has a lot of workshops and events that she is involved with.

Is this an all the time lack of energy or just when you work out? Are you fueling your body properly in between? Is it close to that time of the month? There are many things that could be going on and most of them can be attributed to improper diet or wonky hormones.

Lots of really good information here: https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/4f6bef47-fac4-4b2d-986c-23a40ac37250

You have the hardest part already done which is picking your song. I personally break the song down into sections and typically will want a specific “look” at a certain part of the song. I will just freestyle trying to hit those certain moves at certain points and see what comes of it. I am not one to do counts but I know there are many that do. I study the hell out of the music and know all of my keys so even if I mess up (pretty much always happens) I can freestyle and still not blow all of my choreography. Another thing to remember is to not try to throw new moves into your routine. The moves you do should not have to take too much concentration because nerves will take over.

And, um jealous that you have TCB as your home studio!

It also depends on the lotion. I only use glycerin based lotions and can use them right before poling without issue (Aveeno, Vaseline aloe, CeraVe). Stuff that has “butter” bases or oil bases can sit there and will come out once you start sweating.
