OMG….NEVER post sites like that one. I have spent the last 20 minutes drooling on my keyboard. They have feather outfits….not crazy about the top but the skirt??

As a witness, when Momma busted out a SM I was shocked. SM comes to her easier than a regular invert (now it took me months before I could do this thing and she gets it in a few months after starting pole). Sadly it has been too long since we poled together (even though we only live 20 minutes away from each other….hint hint), although I will give her a break because she does have young kids and a guy who works crazy hours. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif

I was not even going to go into all of the customer service issues…..
BTW, the studio that I used to go to had a pole break while the student was on it…..literally break in half. PS told her that they are not meant to be used in "studio usage" and that they were only safe for personal use. The bases (and this was all of her PS poles) where you stop and start spin also would give way so that the pole would spin even when it was not supposed to. PS would do nothing about it except tell us how to fix the issue on your own. The fix was to pound the base off and epoxt where the pieces fit together. Either that or you had to take it to a machine shop to get it removed. Either way the plastic base part gets damaged.

Find out if they have fixed the issues before purchasing. For some time they had issues with incorrect threading so the pieces would not fit together all the way. They also had issues with them breaking at the seam. This was about 2 years ago. Also, are you a stainless or chrome person? I personally have better and more consistent grip on the chrome X than I ever did on the PS Stainless.

MOMMA!!!! I have missed you SOOOOO much! When are we going to play??

I have fallen out of the caterpillar climb and it took me almost 6 months before I would try it again.
This move is 90% hamstrings and 10% arms, and yes, you can do it without hands (LeighAnn Orsi is one I know and also Amyxshi on there does a barely one handed climb). You should NOT be using your hands to push you up but using your hamstrings to pull you up. A good conditioning for this is hamstring curls using a stability ball. There is also a thread on here for caterpillar climb you may want to search out that has lots of tips.

Toni- there are a few threads here with this exact problem. Read through and see if you can pinpoint:

There have been a few threads on here of people who have written articles pertaining to pole dancing or how people have told their friends/parents about it. I will try to search some of them out for you but here is one to start:

WHAT??? NEED to tape this!!!

When I was having issues with slow loading of video I did the ping test that webbie suggested. Found that my connection was ridiculously slow. I rebooted by modem and my problem cleared right up. This is the first thing that pretty much any help line will tell you to do.

It is $179. Spend the extra $50 and get an X Pole.

JungleCat has a bunch of videos on his page (MrPhatLips).

This to me is like suing a gym because you dropped a bar bell on your foot while lifting weights.
The part where she is still attending classes is also interesting. Sorry, I have no info for you, just shock.

I know there is :
Marlo
Steven Retchless
Rebecca Star
Kyra Johannensen
Michelle Stanek
At Polesque there were a couple more dancers but I am not sure who they were.

I have Penthouse Chasity that lace up both sides and also zipper up the back. I rarely wear boots at home so I cannot say if they scratch the pole or not. These don't seem to have metal parts where you normally would grip the pole with the exception of possibly an inside leg hang.

Polingaround, if you are getting back pain I will ask if you are properly lifting and engaging when you invert. You should hurt no more or less going up than coming down. This tells me that you may not be quite strong enough to be inverting. When you tuck do you then tilt your hips up?
As for the inverted V, I started this as a way down from an invert before I even knew what I was doing. Try to get into crucifix first then release your legs into the V. Your hips have to be close to the pole in order to get this.

KittyCat…I believe that is just called the Remi. I thought that Charley had tutorials on that but she may just have the drop. That move hurts like crazy and I think you could probably do some serious ankle damage if you mess it up.

Veena has 3 lessons on booty moves!

It depends on what your goals and ambitions are. If you are doing this just for you to have fun go with whatever is easier for you. If you are hoping to compete one day the standard is still 50. There are a ton of ladies who have been where you are and have over come their grip issues. As far as I know, 45's were not even around 3 years ago so pretty much every performer out there that has been at this for some time has learned with 50's.

This is a question to ask X Pole directly. They have great customer service and can answer any of your questions and will do it happily.

Being a new mom you will find it even more difficult. You will seem like you are being pulled in so many directions that the first thing that always gets put aside is YOU (come on we are women, it is how we operate!!). The only thing I can suggest is to start by doing just one thing for yourself every single day. And I mean EVERY day. Treat it like eating or sleeping….you cannot exist without that. It can be as simple as wearing lipstick or doing your hair or it can be taking 10 minutes to jog in place or do sit ups or researching healthy recipes. DO IT EVERY DAY…no excuses!
