As HotPhlip said, this community is very wise.

Physical contact and love of oneself are not necessarily linked, and everyone's need or tolerance for physical contact is different. However, it does start with loving yourself.  Regardless of gender, status or age, you should always love yourself. To look at yourself in the mirror and be proud of the person looking back at you takes time and, for lack of a better word, commitment. You have to spend more time loving yourself, respecting who you are and developping your own abalities and knowledge than anything else. You are like a piece of art in the making, constantly evolving and improving and that's what you should love the most about yourself. The fact that no matter what has happened to you, where you started from or where you are going, you can still grow and learn to love who you are.

"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You."       Dr. Seuss

    Have a great day!

I wish all the competitors the best of luck and I hope they all have a great time! I'm sure Olivia you will do great! 😉

Unfortunately I have to pass this year, but I will think about you guys!

    Cheers!

I agree with you StudioVeena. Some people will just never be open-minded. For them to say such horrible comments just makes me wonder how truly happy they are with themselves. If they do not agree, that is their choice. But to voice it in such a nasty way makes it hard to take them seriously…

I agree with SpinningBunny. I've been doing pole fitness for almost 3 years now and I still have plenty to learn. That's whats great about this discipline. There's always a new move or trick to learn. Don't give up, it can take a while to get a move, it took me more than 8 months to get some of the more advanced moves and I still can't do the split (working on it though!), but when you finally get that one move you've been working on, it's the best feeling in the world!

Whenever I have trouble with a move, I try to practice it 5 times EVERYTIME I'm at the pole. Even if I don't get it, it helps my body to remember the movement and little by little, it gets better. I'm also rather cheezy, I tell myself that if I manage to do the move, no matter how bad it looks, I will have a good day, or I will deserve to eat my favourite snack after, or any other little thing that motivates me. Of course the best motivation is to actually GET the move! lol

And I can guarantee you'll never find a discipline with a more supportive community! 😉 So keep up the good work and don't give up!

    Cheers!

To be honest I am suprised someone like Anderson, who openly admitted to being homosexual, would be so closed-minded. As someone commented on his page, associating pole fitness, for kids or adults, with stripping is  like associating homosexuals with aids. It's just not right.

The way he treated his guests was increadibly rude and unprofessional. I've never really watched the show, but this particular segment says a lot about how "objective" he is. If this is how he handles a subject he does not agree with, I would rather not watch his show at all.

I'm really happy you got it back in the end, that's what matters. Whatever she says after does not matter since you got the pole back. If this really was a gift, why would she give it back anyway? And now you know, don't lend your pole to anyone! 😉

    Cheers!

I haven't read much of her books myself, only a short story so far, but I have read GREAT reviews about Opal Carew. From what I have read, the stories are steamy and decently written.

    Happy reading!

Hi! I noticed this discussion was started a few months back and I wanted to know what you ended up doing @SadieNikole. I agree with the majority here that you cannot go there without a police officer or any legal authority since they could view your presence as trespassing. Knowing how low they've already sunk, it would not surprise me. You should difinitely try to get it back through legal means simply because it's the right thing to do and they do not have a case against you. It's not right for people to get away with  something like this. This person may be angry, or emotional at the moment, but it does not excuse her act. If you need legal advice, please let me know. Best of luck!

    Cheers!

I'm all for teh pole Jam at someone's place if the group is not too big. I would rather do that than rent a studio. I already go to a studio and get free practice time so to me, the pole Jams are just for fun, to meet new girls and help others. I would rather not have to pay extra for that, unless it's a special event such as a pole party! 🙂

    Hello ladies!

Wow this is great! I'm happy to know there are others out there! I am definitely in for a next session. My place isn't the best but it's always open! How about we plan a session for mid-July? Anyone interested in lending their place for the practice? If we are no more than 6-7 girls it shouldn't be too bad. If no one can do it, I can open my appartment again no problem.

Let me know what you think!

    Happy Canada Day ladies!

    Cheers!

The imoprtant thing is to not give up! And after a great workout, you deserve good food! 😉
