Veena when I read those comments I became super-protective and was so close to leaving a mom-like comment on that girls profile but I restrained myself. She says she’s 19 but I checked out one of her videos and she’s probably about 13/14 ish and one of her videos is called ‘boy crazy’ so her profile really does speak for herself. Im not fantastic with words Glitter but it doesnt mean that I dont care about you. I just can’t articulate as well as others. There’s nothing I can say that hasnt been said already here but anyway…
Its obvious how much you’re liked/loved/admired on this site when you see the massive response your post has generated. I personally love your videos and Ive told you already that I think you’re really pretty and sexy and cute. I just wish you’d believe me and everyone else, but I know that when you feel negative there’s nothing anyone says that’s gonna make you feel better until you believe it yourself.
I havent posted any videos yet cause Im afraid!!! I feel the same about my progress as you do about yours so you’re not alone! Ive been doing pole fitness for a long time and Im only really perfecting some of the inverts now! I have quite large thighs that are covered in cellulite and Ive loads of stretch marks (everywhere) and Im so used to seeing other girls on youtube (and here) with such slender thighs that it really puts me off posting a vid. I also cant dance…at all! I dont wana make this post about me because its about you but I just wanna show you that you dont have to feel alone. Here goes:- I can’t do the wrist sit, shoulder mount, butterfly, knee hold (YOU CAN!!!), Superman, iguana mount, aysha, Bow & Arrow, Side Climb, cupid, archer, brass monkey, handspring, pencil mount, jade split, straight edge, teddy bear,……the list could go on but we’d be here all day!!! PLUS Ive been poling for a year or more!!!!!!
Anyway I told you this response was gonna be trivial so I’ll stop typing…

You are not a basket case!!!! When I joined StudioVeena I wasnt able to use my pole either. My ceiling had been damaged by a leak and I couldnt use the pole. I found the site really good because I felt ‘in the loop’ still. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
And when you can eventually use your pole again the people on this site will be more than willing to give you hints and tips on the approach to take!

Every concern you have is completely normal!!! I had the same concerns when I was a beginner (Im an intermediate now.)
It is TOTALLY normal that you cant hold yourself up for long, dont feel bad. This will come with practice. Whatever you do just dont give up!!! Its hard not to lose heart, I know (I remember how it feels) but your muscle strength will grow all the time and you’ll get better and better, just keep practicing. For the moment, until you build up strength in your arms and your core muscles I wouldnt recommend trying to do inverts. Work with your spins and you’ll gradually get the strength to invert. Again I will stress…DONT GIVE UP!!! (Well Im sure your boyfriend wont let you anyway lol!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif ) The reason the girls with the videos make it look so easy is that they all practised to get that way too, it doesnt happen automatically no matter how strong or flexible you are.
At first your hands will get sweaty quickly but as you get more used to the pole and, depending on the spins or tricks you’re doing, it wont be as bad. Ive never used powder but a few of the girls n guys on here may be able to give you advice on that.
