Wanted to give an update on my post…I did it!! Now I still need to practice cause I’m not able to hold it for long and I have to bring my butt up more, because when I went to try to do leg hang I had to re-adjust my leg higher, I wasn’t able to just hook and let go….but I was soooo happy I was able to do it!! Thank you all for your advise!! This is why I joined SV because of all the help and support there is in this site!!!

I wanted to go this year, but I wanted to find someone that was willing to split the cost with me! My BFF and I were making plans but after I caught her lying to me and I spoke to someone which confirmed that she had been lying to me…I decided to end my friendship, cause I just can’t trust some that lies for no reason…. So now I’m back to square one..looking for someone, I’m crossing my fingers that I will be able to attend this year!! 😁😁😁

Thank you all for the reply!! I will continue to try :)… I’ve been poling for 5 years and this has always been a problem…but I took a year off pole but I continue working out (weight lifting) and all my other tricks are coming back easy, like riding a bike, but of course not this one 🙁 but gonna follow all your tips and of course continue to practice until I get it :). Thanks!!!

Thanks Phoenix!! I was thinking the same…I don’t recall being in so much pain when I started pole, I did tell her that she needs to take it easy since she is also working out at the gym. I know pole can be an addiction when you start, but an injury is no laughing matter. I will talk to her tonight and make sure she sees a doctor ASAP!!

I’m glad that someone brought this up….my friend started poling with me, she has never done it before….now I know that being sore is very normal, but she has been complaining about abdominal pain…she says that every time we start doing climbs or crunches, her upper abdomen hurts really bad…should she see a doctor? Or is this normal too? Cause my abs hurt but not as much as she is saying hers does.

Don’t buy the Pole Sleeve!! I bought it when it first came out and within a year it lost its color and the grip..it was like I had wrapped silk on my pole….so I decided to take it off and it was glued to my pole…we tried every powered aired pumped and nothing…so my husband just told me to cut it off and when I did it was like ripping wall paper….thank god the sticky residue that it left on my pole came off with rubbing alcohol and a sponge 🙂

Once again..I want to thanks everyone that advised me on what to do, but I guess Karma was listening and took over the situation…I just found out yesterday that the studio closed down…I'm guessing I wasn't the only student that had this issue with them….I was told that classes where being canceled because no one was showing up.  Hopefully they learn from their mistake and if they do reopen they won't push their students away. I am happy that in 2 days I start my classes online with Studio Veena!!

Thanks everyone for your honest opinio…but I think I am going to purchase the Studio Veena membership and pole from home…I have 2 poles and soon I will also have a lyra and fly gym.  I'm just glad I didn't have a contract with them…paying $150.00 monthly to go deal with drama is not worth it at all…my husband is very supportive of the pole community but he says that I should go to pole to de-stressed not to be-stressed!!  🙂

I informed the owner of what one of her instructors was saying and doing in class, which made me and another student feel uncomfortable…and then she went off on me about how I hurt her because I went to a workshop with an instructor she didn't like.
