Is there name for what he does at 2:20?

From what I hear it’s called the reverse pancil. It was the trick I was attempting on the video that I posted on youtube. Someone sent me this link in comment. I can’t seem to pull up my feet yet though. He makes it look sooooo easy!!!

    I know! It’s crazy.

What’s funny is he reminds me of my son when he climbs LOL. Maybe my boy will grow up to be a pole dancer like this. That would be so cool! LOL

I agree Violet, the moves at 3:10 were crazy! He is really amazing, truly an artist and his strength is crazy! Is there name for what he does at 2:20? I’ve only seen that in my mind, I can’t imagine how much core and upper body strength it would take to do that LOL.

for a minute i thought noone had understood what i was talking about!
i wasn´t talking about freestyle sexy walking, but actually about 2 very different tecniques of walking around the pole. i was hoping to get more feedback on this like if they have different names or like where did the leaning off the pole thing came from, but oh well.
thanks ritalin for your reply, you got what i meant.
it is way more difficult to put some sass into the walking if you´re leaning off the the pole. now i understand why i was having so much trouble with that. i´ve never actually fallen but i do lose my balance alot. i think i´m going to mix it up and use the normal walk most of the time so i can do the sexy stuff and use the leaning off tecnique when i relly need some momentum for a spin.
big hugs and thanks for the imput ladies!

I like the fact that I have a 50mm titanium pole because I feel that’s it’s better to train with the most difficult pole, that way when/if I come across a different pole in class or say a competition I’ll be using something easier to work with as opposed to something harder…did that make sense?

I’m saddened by his death too. I don’t judge, I leave that to the jury and if the parents of the acusing children are able to sleep at night with the settlement they were given then I let that go and focus on the entertainment his gave us.

The airwaves are filled with his music and his videos are playing non stop on TV. I’m reminded over and over why I love him and I have never been so inspired to dance in my life. I went home at lunch today and probably had the best practice I’ve ever had while his music played in the background. I felt strong and emotional and a real conection with the music that I haven’t felt since I got my pole.

I’m lucky to have grown up in a time when such talent was being presented for the workd to enjoy and his abilities and skill encourage me to keep working on my own craft so one day I can inspire just as he did.

Felix is amazing! I wish I could have let me kids and husband see this on tv so they could see someone else besides their mom pole dancing and see how great it can really be. We were all wrapped up in the whole Michael Jackson thing and I totally forgot https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I too am forced to work in a small space when on my pole. My room is full with my bed, tv, dressers and night stands. I can’t even extend my legs all the way when spinning! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif

Your room sounds like it will be more than enough.

Hi, Goodluck with the poling I’m sure you will be an addict in no time and hope to see some videos from you soon. I’ve lost a fair bit of weight since I started poling and have really toned up so I’m sure you’ll manage that weight loss you’re after.
    Cxxx

thanks. i can’t wait to get started. i have a strong feeling i’ll be addicted too. once i’ve gotten a hang of a few things i’ll post some vids. and as for the weight, once my pole comes in i’m hoping to change my diet and exercise a bit more to tone up by my birthday in september.

    Hi!

Diet is so very important if you want to work on weight loss. You can start it even before you get your pole! Start cutting out fatty foods, processed foods and try to eat more fresh things period (fruits, veggies) and lean meats (tuna, chicken breast). small changes can make big differences. I look forward to seeing your vids and watching you progress.
