Hey Sissy I signed up for Miss Xpose at the Arrundel Mills location too!! I’m doing Pole Princess and Pole Diva. I would have done floor/chair instead of Pole Princess but it was full. Can’t wait to see you there https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I’m really looking forward to all of the performances. I’d have signed up for the 09 comp but I’d only just started going to Xpose a week before the deadline. Best of luck!
How cool!!!!!
Are you totally excited? I wanted to do Pole Diva too but it was full https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif . Oh well, having only one dance to do is less stress for a begtinner such as myself LOL.Do you have any idea what you’re going to do? Or what song you’re going to use? Or how you’re going to dance? Or what moves you definitely want to do?
Questions. I know LOL. But you’re the only other person I know doing it LOL.
You need to put up some damn vids girl!

Yeah, I was about to agree with Suncatcher. Most people love codeine filled goodies. People who don’t are having adverse reactions.
I’m hypersensitive to opiates as well.. so I take tramadol.
I also use anti-inflammatory drugs – but the ibuprofen/tylenol blend doesn’t work for the worse pains that I’ve had. So instead of Ibuprofen/tylenol, it’s Ibuprofen/tramadol.
I’m actually really impressed that you managed a major body surgery with over the counter meds, Lilbit! You’re a much greater woman than I!
Tramadol is a derivative of an opiate though isn’t it?
That’s what I take daily for my feet.

Sweet idea! What were the rules again for the compulsory routines?

I’d love to try this flip but I don’t know if I’m strong enough. What would be a good precurser to let one know if she was ready?
Just put some couch cushions under me and go for it? LOL

I’m reall confused….what skeleton are you talking about???
There used to be a skeleton hanging on the upper left side of the screen. I think Veena had Webster remove it cuz it’s gone now LOL.

LOL
I have never… seen this twitter search.
I found it by trying to google the show, but it’s.. such a relief to see people having vaguely positive things to say about pole dancing.Seriously. No mention of how degrading to women. No "omg, disgusting". Just people being -amazed- and overusing the word bitch. LOVE IT.
…. is that skeletor in anyone else’s way? he needs to move his skinny butt over before he gets beat for being between me and the reply button.
Yes he’s all in my way! LOL. I was trying to drag him somewhere else but he won’t move LOL.

Sissybuns! I’m an instructor at the A. Mills Xpose- I can’t wait to see you rock the pole at prelims!! Which location did you sign up for?
I’ll totally be there, showing support! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
I signed up for Arundel Mills in pole princess. Everything else was full. I was the final entry for that location. I barely made it! LOL https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I think it has a lot ot do with strength as well. Once you build up the upper body strength to old you up longer, your added momentum (from the tips above) will combine with that for awesome spins. When I first started my spins lasted 1.5 go rounds because I couldn’t hold myself up long enough to go around several times properly. Once I got stronger (and more comfortable) I was able to throw myself into my spins confidently and got a better result.
Don’t let those darn pros fool you! It’s not as easy as they make it look! It took me a good minute to get good strong and spinny spins. Pole ups. Push ups. Pull ups. They help! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I uploaded my video two days ago and I’m still not able to watch it on here.. What’s wrong? How long to do have to wait? It said it was approved but I still can’t view it.
Hey Girly,
the video platform changed recently and sometimes it taks a while for vids to load or they don’t load at all (I’ve noticed just from my own experience). I would try reuploading the one that didn’t work.Veena and Webmaster are still working on some stuff since the change but if you upload it again that might help!

What can yoy do Jeni?
Yeah, what can you do? What do your friends do?
Maybe you can compare yourself to them and their ability to get an idea of what level you would be at if you were attending classes with them.
I don’t normally recommend people comparing themselves to any one, but this is just to get an idea of what is considered lvl 1, 2 , and so on.

I feel ya. The studio closest to me is $40 a class at the door or if you pay in advance its $35 or you can get 15 class punch card for $300. I don’t know how people can afford this I know I can’t. I am living on a single income right now and things are really tough for me.
Damn that’s expensive. My classes are $9 each. Less if you buy a class card and get them in bulk.
