Pole dancing is a mind over matter sport. You have to learn to trust your pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif and yourself. It is dificult allowing yourself to just fall and spin…the same is true when you start to invert. That is why there is such a huge confidence boost that goes along with pole dancing. Once you allow yourself to do something and you do it…it’s like hey "I can do anything". Now don’t get me wrong…you also need strength…..lots of strength. I remember how frustrating it was when I couldn’t even do a fireman spin because I had no strength to hold on…and now its a completely different story. Work on 2 things: strenth and mind-over-matter and before you know it you’ll be part of the upside down club!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

When I thought the pain couldn’t get any worse….it dissapeared! It took about three months of constant face scrunching and calling out in pain. BTW..I have the "meaty" thighs. I mainly had pain when doing a cross knee release…and one day I got into position and it didn’t hurt. I still bruise a ton…but it’s expected (battle wounds). Use arnica cream/gel after a practice session…it helps minimize the pain and help speeden the healing process.

If I had the body I did before I had kids I would so be on stage! You rock that pole girl!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Veena’s lessons are great….sometimes when I’m working on something and I just can’t seem to get it right, it’s nice to open her vid and figure out what I’m doing wrong!
Can’t wait for Veena to have some new lessons up soon! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Hi…Lola has created a website. http://www.wikipole.org. It’s great. If you go to the move directory she lists all of the moves with picture…most of them atleast. Hope this helps!
