MemberJuly 15, 2009 at 12:36 pm in reply to: question about switch from spinning to staticIt’s possible that your pole is not completely secure b/n your floor and ceiling…I would try re-tightening it. When you lined up the "X" with the screw holes, did you put both of the screws in as tight as you could?
If that dosen’t help…I dunno! Are you sure it’s a TRUE x-pole? What color is the rubber on the dome??

Hi and Welcome! Notradya is sooooo right about polishing moves…it’s great to land new tricks..but it dosen’t look good when you can do a ton of "bad looking" tricks. Polishing tricks helps gain more strength an allow you achieve new moves! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

So when are you getting a new pole?? HEHE https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Transitions are good for a couple things….1. they let you rest a little between more demanding spins/tricks. 2. they really help your work out…you’d be surprised at how a few hip rolls here and a few dips there will help tighten your abs and legs. If you aren’t into the "sexy" dance you can still do the same transitions just approach it from a more "fitness" aspect.
As far as how ofter should you practice spins you already know…I still do fireman spins as part of my warm up! It never hurts to practice the basics…considering most basic spins have intermediate and advanced versions. Practice makes perfect! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I would work on doing a pencil first before trying the rubber pencil. At least with the pencil, if you feel wobbly or like your going to fall you can either rehook your foot or reach towards the floor… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

okay…are you kicking into it?? You really need to lift from your abs into the chopper..also make sure your shoulders are back and down!! That’s VERY important! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif !!
