What type of finish is it? Which size 45 or 50m xpole?? I live in Clarksville about an hour away and would be happy to take that off your hands if you still have it. Let me know and I can totally drive to you.

I have a lil mynx stainless steel rotator I love it but it just a little slippery plus I need to increase my grip strength but it funny because we use the same pole at the studio I go to the only difference is my pole is shorter and it rotates … I am not sure why but my grip strength with the studio pole was much better??? maybe because the studio poles get more use
I have been thinking of getting another pole. I have had the opportunity to use the xpole chrome I think? at a pole jam with bertsybooboo and a few others from SV and felt it to be the same as using the my lil mynx both good quality poles I would say
but because I am not extremely familiar with the xpole, I am wondering which may be more stable of the xpole for 45mm or 50mm for a curvy lady like me?
Cream I have the SAME problem. I have a lil mynx rotator. The one in the gym is way stickier than the one I have at home. I noticed if I turn the temp down iin the house (usually 68F) the pole gets grippier. I think the gym is cooler than my home so this helps the problem. Have you tried that? Just coling down the room before you practice a little bit?

I really hate when people give me "that look" you know the one. It really pisses me off. I have an Iphone..so I have a couple of Veena’s videos on my you tube faves. I just show them the videos and they are like "OMG that”s amazing". Immediately they realize it’s not the same thing, and then they ask me to show them something cool. Of course, I can’t too many col things yet, but a nice back hand spin is nice enough to intrigue.
Last night we had some friends over for Salsa..and they were all like wow what’s that for? I told them about the dancing and they were like yeah OKAY. I almost ALWAYS have to do something for them to see that I’m not really propping myself next to the pole trying to be cute, but I actually work hard on it.One girl told me " I don’t like any of that kind of stuff it’s gross" I showed her one of the youtube vids and she was almost in tears because she said it was so beautiful. Then I looked at her and was like "see I told you".

I had a cup of Fage Greek Yogurt with honey and an ounce of walnuts, 2 slices of turkey bacon, and some nasty ass egg beaters. For lunch, I had a lean brisket sammich on wheat and an apple bran muffin from starbucks with a nutritional value of shit, I’m sure. But it was really good.
For dinner, I’m going to eat an "asian salad" premade, cause we’re in the process of moving- topped with shrimp and onions. I’m also going to finish off some portobello mushroom fajitas that I made a few days ago- and maaaybe if I’m still hungry later on I’ll eat a black bean veggie burger.

Yes, I taped my shoes and now I don’t have a problem with the grip on the bottom of my shoes. AMEN 4 that!

Hey all! Welcome!!! I’m also from Tennessee. I live in Clarksville, about 45 min from Nashville. There are no studios here but there are a few girls who get together at the local gym to learn basic maneuvers. We have fun, I wish the community of pole enthusiasts was larger. For now it’s all good. Studio veena is plenty large for me.

Yeah, I just posted my very first video (after being on SV practically since the beginning!) and I ran away from the computer because I was afraid. When I got back on to peek, I had gotten a lot of comments and responded to each one. I would hate to think that someone took the time to watch and comment, and think that I wouldn’t take the time to respond back to their kind words or encouragement! I do think that responding personally by sending an email is a good idea, but I would hate to invade someone’s personal cyberspace if they hadn’t invited me in, you know what I mean? I think Webmaster is working on something but it would take a huge amount of work for them. But it would be nice…
I never thought about it that way…..entering someone’s personal space. I wonder if that is a common thought.

I like Veruca’s idea of Halloween profile pics.. What if we can make videos to Haloween music..you know that cheezy scary music people play for haloween or something…hmmm we could see if anyone can get creative with pumpkins, or we could go the obvious route and wear Haloween costumes to dance in. IDK.
