Are you ever in London? I love Cyberdog in Camden market for shorts.

I pay monthly, still less than what I paid at the gym! Plus I have a bit of a girl crush on Marlo Fisken, and she has some great floor work flowy tutorials 🙂

I pay for both Veena’s lessons and Pole & Areial (sorry) but I find a combo of the two just brilliant, what one doesn’t cover the other does and you can watch two or three instructors versions of the same move so you are so full of tips you can’t go wrong. Lots of floor work and warm ups too.

Can’t wait to get started! I was lucky enough to attend a course lead by Dr Michel Odent, the pioneering French Obstetrician who founded water births. He was amazing to listen to.
Veena I watched your pole dances during pregnancy, just beautiful. I would love a 4th but I’m not sure I could cope with all the work that accompanies it!

Thanks! Yes I considered midwifery too but I have been a nurse now for 14 yrs and thought of going back to being a student again doesn’t appeal. Here in the UK a midwife attends all births unless they need medical intervention. I had my babies at home in water, was magical 🙂

Well I just hope Rihanna was impressed by some of those pole moves! She could have at least attempted a Fireman spin!

This is so helpful, thank you!  I think it really is possible to gain all of your workout needs from your poling sessions by what you have described.

Who could need more than to be fit, strong, flexible sexy all at once?  Plus you get to hunt for outfits that far out do gym outfits!

Thanks for your replies!  I have completed the 30 day program but never thought to replace the moves with the stuff I'm working on.  Ok so my workout now starts with a 20 min warm up ( I have various favs ) followed by a free style to get the flow going, then I work on a couple of moves 10 times then a bit of conditioning followed by stretching.  When conditioning, should I try and work on body parts that have not been worked on the moves or those that have?  When stretching should I try for spits and back bends on the same day or alternate these.

Also I don't feel bigger but have gained weight.  Should I put this down to muscle or should I step up the cardio again?

    Thanks

I’ve never been in a studio but am thinking about home tuition at the mo. there are things I feel I need a spotter for these days. The more advanced stuff takes courage to try alone. Veena did you home pole and learn alone?

How naughty an outfit is allowed? I think cliche calls for naughty pole dance outfits, no?

Ahh, I have a better idea now. I’m also going to try and choreograph a dance this time instead of free styling. Something I’ve never done before. Going to look at my CD collection now!

Thanks so much! Currently downloading my 30 day free trial of Magix. Will let you know how it goes. I actually record my videos on the iPad. Is it worth looking into apps on that and edit the videos on there?

Ahh yes, heat would help. Didn’t think about that! That and ibuprofen! Actually I have found rest to be very beneficial, although I really want to crack that damn butterfly.
Also I have decided to really try and loose those last 2kg to get back to pre baby weight. I think that will help too.

Thanks for that Veena. I have been trying every other day or so. No wonder I’m feeling it. You’re right, it’s muscular and weakness sore, not anything worrying. I will use the foam roller more and cut back on practicing. I really do find my aches and pains are increased just before my period. I see a physio for my hips/pelvis and I mentioned it to him, and he agrees it could be hormonal. I wonder if next week my arms, along with my pelvis won’t be so sore?
