Fonji. It's super impressive but something about it in routines makes me go 'oooh….hmmm…meh'
Any move that requires a flexed foot – if the move cannot be done without flexing the foot it shouldn't be done at all, no matter how fancy it is imo. Saying that I still flex my foot just climbing lol
I like the side climb! but the one where you have your outside leg on the front of the pole and both legs climb the pole together rather than hooking the inside knee and pulling up…

I saw a high profile poler do workshops in Sweden for £50 per hr (after conversion from Swedish Krona) but when she was doing workshops in UK it was £90 per hr! There's only 2 hrs difference between these 2 countries for flights, I can't believe the price difference 🙁 the classes would be booked out either way because of how famous she is so I can't imagine what's with the price hike.
Anyway, I've seen local studio owners charge £35 all the way up to £100 for a 1 hr private

@milkjamjuice – I'm very jealous of you. Tokyo (well, japan) is my favourite place on earth!! I have no passion for teaching at all so ESL /teaching in general is totally out the of the question for me and there doesn't seem to be any other routes in 🙁

yes Posey, those details are correct. See you then! Can't wait 🙂

so sorry to hear about your experience with them siamesekat 🙁 I didn't know PS was run by P2P here. They have a reputation to say the least… if you still have no luck would it help to go to citizens advice bureau or some other body that can advice you on how to contact them?

Have you been to see a physiotherapist? When I hurt my wrist my physio gave me exercises using a theraband that helps add resistance and build up strength. You need to strengthen your wrist joint by flexing the joint up and down, side to side and turning it. If I can find a video I’ll post it… it’s a pain when you bugger up your wrists ain’t it?!

MemberMarch 21, 2013 at 7:29 am in reply to: 19 months into my pole journey and I want to go back to basics…Hey Shona don’t give up! I got to the stage where I hit a pole wall and couldn’t progress with new moves and was losing my aerial invert and everyone I saw around me was just getting stronger and better so I decided if I can’t do what they are doing now then I will perfect the basics/moves I can do. Though I am far from perfect I feel a much better dancer and well rounded poler as most other polers I know can only do tricks. Whilst that’s all well and good, in a routine its boring as hell, least I got a darn good head roll :p plus you know having the basics down will help you loads in the future!

Hi ladies, if you've not headed over to the FB event page yet just follow this link – https://www.facebook.com/events/574911432519596/ Becky you are more than welcome too, it's being held at pole sessions studio in worsley/walkden this time 🙂
Parking is on the street btw though a bit past the studio there is a martial arts studio and a sign for 'brooklyn trading/klyne and klyne' which has a little bit more space to park. Any probs just msg me and I'll try my best to help!
The studio is above a shop called 'Brian's carpets' but there are signs for the studio so you can't really miss it 🙂
If it is possible a £2 donation would be grateful 🙂 and I'll bring snacks to keep our energy levels high! I'm thinking of a 1pm start and we can stay til whenever really

regarding booty bouncing in your box splits/straddle you have to lean forward so there's space for your bum muscles to bounce up and down lol aerial amy's tutorial is a good way to start learning! I have no meat on my arse at all 🙁

maurer rose – mine's the same, I've wiped the dome to make sure it was clean but it still leaves a mark so I'll have to paint my ceiling too when I leave lol

Even when it’s warm and I’m warm my pole is still slippy 🙁 the metal is warmed up but there is no stickiness and even with my trusty grips it just doesn’t work after a few moves so I spend most my time applying grip, do a basic move and repeat until I need to wash my hands or clean the pole. Cant practice anything harder than an invert and that really sucks 🙁

aww no miraine 🙁 there must be some way! hehe if you want to keep up to date i've created the event on facebook 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/events/574911432519596/

Hmm this might explain why I’m so slow to progress if everyone’s pole schedule is like you guys! I only pole twice a week – 1.5hrs on a Monday and 3.5 hrs on a Sunday and then I stretch 1hr every Thursday. I’m focusing on freelance work outside of my full time job though so pole is on the back burner… I don’t usually up the training unless I havr a competition coming up. I’m happy with this schedule, I don’t feel the need to exercise everyday and my body isnt suffering in any way 🙂 am in awe of those who practice every day though, your fitness level must be through the roof!
