*poling – the poking remains consistently above average …
-
Thank you so much both, I realised that my poking actually went back a step when I started going to the gym … as I was missing out on pole workouts, at that time following your amazing 30 day plans Veena – to have the reassurance from you both that it’s more than possible without the gym is perfect … gym membership cancelled!

Hi – I’ve just bought an R-Pole and love it, my teacher is currently in Barbados with one and another person I know flew from the UK to Florida with one, both checked theirs in as Sports Equipment with no trouble, it’s so much lighter that it’s easier to travel with – does that help? X

Oooooo loving this! 30 days to inverted crucifix/thigh hold would be my requests please, for some reason these moves just elude me most of the time!
-
Thank you Veena, my legs felt like jelly afterwards I admit! Was a fabulously funny feeling! 😉😊

Highly recommend the 30 days to flexy programme in here – I’m seeing improvements weekly on my flexibility and am soooooo much closer to the spilts as a direct result of following it, having a personal ‘wooooooo hooooooooo day as my thigh touched the foam roller in today’s front splits routine, sooooooo chuffed! 😊😊😊 thank you Veena!

Thank you everyone 😊 Looking forward to trying this next week! 😊

Thank you SO much! I seriously had not thought about doing weights before a pole workout as I thought I would be too knackered! That helps enormously 😊 I eat seriously well & as a Remedial massage therapist stress the importance of rest days too my clients, hence my confusion around bringing in weights to my pole workouts, as apparently they will help me move forward in my pole goals so all good indeed, wow! Light bulb moment 😊😊😊 re goals mine is simply core strength, heart health, and toning – pole is the only workout I’ve found to keep me remotely motivated more than a few weeks (be 2 years in January!) So anything that helps me safely achieve the next pole move is a winner, so not looking to set the world on fire just to improve as I go along, so all good indeed! Yeay! A workout weekly plan is forming! (Veena, btw 30 days yo flexy? Soooooo good! Ty 😊 )

Hey Stacia, thank you for replying – nothing too intense to start with, as I’ve been down the injury route before – 20 or 30 mins cardio plus light weights, in the machines which support you as opposed to free standing, I’m just wanting to get in the swing of things atm then build up, hence the weekly routine question – i’ve just noticed that I need to strengthen my legs more to achieve new pole moves so wanting to make use of the essentially free gym membership seems a good way to do that 😊

They scared me too until I tried it, the joy of poling outside definitely outweighs the fear of them, so I just went for it and enjoyed it sooooooooo much! It was so good to be outside 😊

Thank you so much zoilife6233 – yeay to pole progress! 😊

Thank you for the book tip Cat Sanctuary, will check it out – and I remember you mentioning the pigs joining you for pole when I first joined this site & the idea made me smile lots back then as it still does now 😊

Amazing progress & interesting re vegan diet, food for thought if you will pardon the pun, as a veggie I ponder vegan life however never quite made the jump – and still giggling at the idea of the pigs following you around the pole although I am sure it’s not much fun at the time!
-
Amazing! Still looking forward to the video of the pig popping in whilst you are poling although your profile pic helps give me a picture in my mind, love it! And soooooo impressed with your moves after so long away from pole!

I’m still a newbie too however welcome, this site is amazing! 😊 x

You have my sympathies with all of this – in 2009 I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disorder, and the Consultant I saw tried to make me feel better by saying ‘it’s very common in Women of your age’ oh man, I’m not a violent Lady however if I had had pole strength back then… 😉 anyways, prior to diagnosis I was doing lots of high impact work at the gym, forgetting about the core which all came to a head after a car accident Compounded the damage I had been doing to my spine (I couldnt walk more than a few steps for 6 months without a cane) as Veena has recommended for you to consider, I had to rethink my fitness schedule completely. I bought a pilates reformer which has a trampoline at one end for low impact cardio (aero pilates) and quit the high impact classes. I never thought I would walk without a cane again if I’m honest, however with hard work and determination I built my core strength up and got better slowly – will never be able to go back to high impact again, however pilates and pole gives me the core strength ….
So, what I’m trying to say in a long winded way, is if it’s hurting, my advice would be to stop and rethink things before you get into the state I did by ignoring aches, pains and twinges – our bodies are amazing and have a way of making sure we listen to them in the end … I’ve since retrained as a Remedial Massage Therapist, incorporating Reflexology & Aromatherapy so it’s my job to help people who are heading down the same road as I did (extremely rewarding) I would also suggest that you try Reflexology as it’s amazing at helping the body heal from the inside out, including joints and bones 😊 hope that helps and you feel better soon, Kate x

A productive day then! Enjoy – Monday’s and Tuesday’s are my days off as I work weekends, so I can’t say the same here, definately a lazy day nosing around your amazing site and doing some pole work 😊 am a tad excited as I’m an Aromatherapist specialising in Deep Tissue Massage, however tomorrow afternoon I AM RECEIVING A MASSAGE! Sorry for shouting – it’s been a long long time, and is much needed 😊😊😊 the best bit is the therapist is coming to me and using my treatment room so I can roll off the couch and head straight to bed …. So, no doubt you have many many people to reply to so won’t take up more of your time and shall return to talking to the cats being a crazy cat lady and all … Look forward to sharing progress with you as I go along and no doubt asking questions – soooooo glad I subscribed! Enjoy your afternoon and hope you get some quiet time too x
