AWESOMENESS! Okay for trying to do this (trying in my head)
VS Stylish is my fav- her knees and back got to be strong for moving and making it flow, I wish she wore looser pants like the sweats in the Twerk Team's video to see her booty hit the camera (I bet it would).
Twerk Team- great but do more of a skilled routine, I'm awestrucked but I'm watching more for inspiration not sole entertainment.
How to twerk it without thigh jiggles I wonder. When I figure that out- I'm posting my first video regardless of what bf says about professional privacy. I got caught in the restroom at work (great mirror) attempts to twerk. But I got a goofball reputation (luckily nothing else). Til then only for the entertainment of me, my bf, studio.

Hmm- I have admitted to many people even my mormon family THC saved my life.
Story: I only did pills and stolen Rx when I was young (my choice of… enjoyment if I have to admitted choose(to this day)) I never ingested nicotine, alcohol, thc (mormon family -nothing available, easily noticeable if did). When I was 22 yo I was 98 pounds (I'm 5'9") had a handful of emotional problems. When I left home I took my first alcoholic drink, didn't care for it but drank anyway, along with drinking at bars I tried smoking- I LOVE cigarette smoking (I have quit, I hate e-cigs that didn't help me at all).
Long story short: I met up with someone and I smoked weed. I was…. numb enough to forget about my food/body image hang ups to eat. I smoked street and Rx weed and ate it (think that was the best along with tea for me) I hate the high – I'm an upper person. But THC really saved my life to eat and be progressive for myself.
I haven't smoked in years, I hate the smoke smell, the high, too much of an effect when I eat it.
I will always stand on the side of research. I believe researching it more and letting it be legal for those who want to ingest it -like tobacco and alcohol it should be.
I also want a device for smokers to exhale in so I don't have to get "contact headaches" aka "contact high" I wish I enjoyed it as much as my friends do at get togethers. But neurochemistry is different for everyone.

What was unbearable was the time it took me, I was slow and not skilled enough to be happy with the results. I paid for someone to do it, way better for me. I liked when hairs were spiky versus long so however length of time that is. I thought it was easier that way. -

I gave my friend my short (8-9′) pole, she kicked out her son, “So you’re the person that kicked me out, I mean gave my mom and grandma a pole? (rolled eyes)” Yes her mom poles too! At our studio she’s my lap *winks*I have behaviorally trained my cats (psych-behavioural student) to do many things, one was to train them to run to bed or couch when death heels are on, (not killing myself due to cats curious placement next to my feet) while dancing. Fellow students think its crazy it works, never stepped on them for reinforcement. Thank goodness.
Former raver, love my music fast and long, now I find myself editing tracks to dance to. And enjoying other styles of music I could dance to.
Ya know when you’re a pole dancer when you smile at the last non-square post/pole sign when driving by, and boyfriend always thinks I’m checking something, someone out when I double glance to see if it is circular or square. (I think we only dine at places with square pole signs, pout)

Pankake- our studio has a fitness class that we do squats and exercise, piyo moves while wearing our heels. Gets some time to get used to. But dancing and transitions WAY easier since taking that class. We practice muscle flexing, flexibilty and getting to know your body position & reaction to a pose so being more fluid in the dancing classes. -

Our studio’s instructor said in our 101classes, like any sport atheletes need their own gear to make them perform better, It would be better to start practicing in heels than be awesome barefoot, THEN try dancing, inverting, walking, sliding down splits ; all while pointed toes (cos pointed toes flexes glutes =yummy) and feel like you’re starting all over, since it is a different game.
In casual ‘real life’ I SUCK at heels even wedges. I like to blame everything from height, weak knees, my love for my teeth, huge feet, for my lack of heel skills. So I was nervous about my first dance shoes, I got Pleasers, Dolly (I call them my training heels) and they worked great, they broke and in good timing, I truly wanted the 7″ sexy platforms. From scared wobbly, to 5″ Dolly, 7″ Adore. I love black due to it can match whatever I exercise in. But I like the silly colourful ones of Mottiff (?) I want glitter or rhinestone crusted heels but fear chipping, like the black platforms – UGLY; or scratching pole or popping off and sticking on/in my skin (actually have pits on my feet, legs, knees from rhinestones popping off from others shoes.
So I have grown to love my platforms, but unless I’m dancing and stripping at home I don’t call them stripper shoes. I think because dancer shoes have grip and pretty much are not declined, which regular stillettos are (steep decline) I can sexy strut in my platforms. I like all colours but clear seem to last longer because they don’t appeared chipped.
Sexy ankle weights, yup; another sexy accessory/gear (like those needed booty shorts) oh yea; something to play with or add as a personal touch-style, you betcha! Climbing guard and assistant to invert poses and grabs, sticks on hot sweaty sessions, thank goodness.
Now my next adventure are strapless heels. And keeping pointed toes down when I split slide down.
Barefoot, only when learning invert moves. I have (hopefully not) perm scars on top of feet from climbing -holding mistakes.
What’s the buzz about platform boots, haven’t been able to ‘master’ confidence in them. Sexy walk- I need to walk a tad bow-legged so they don’t stick, and spins when grip aid on the pole get them messy. Any notes?? -
I was in the same boat. I'm 5'9-5'10" and was 183 pounds. I wanted to try pole lessons at my town's studios so I did an intro class. I was so discouraged. I'm a horrible person for always wanting to know I'll succeed at something before I'll try it. Our instructor did her demo and I fell in fan-love with her, her talent, strength, body, sassy, comfortablity with herself.
So I saved for a beginner's course (I did it 3 times) and after a year I'm getting comfortable about the whole thing and my skill status. Some things I'm great at, other things I excute like I've never tried to do it before and am wear 100 pound weights on me. I'm saving for a pole that fits my new high ceilings, mirror, and a recording device, I've decided that will help me progress and not feel awkward to 'dance for someone' and have them critique me.
I didn't have a pole at first but I did watch a lot of pole video's on YouTube, and did a lot of goggle searches on basic moves. Dirdy Birdy was my first fav instructional videos, studio veena has been the best overall.
What I knew I couldn't do were push ups and pull ups. So I would time myself for 30 seconds to minute how much I could do, and I recorded it, and recorded feelings of success or 'failure'. This has HELPED me see progress and feel progress.
For me diet has been my number one challenge. First I ditched the scale, I made a diet goal, like one week no soda, next week more water or only drink water. And progressed with eliminating bad adding good choices. Sometimes the goal of the week was to maintain the great progress I was making.
Keep a journal or blog, just make some time to track week to week goals and excutions and feeling/ thoughts on the success or 'failure' of it. Make other life goals, like: when I look at myself in the mirror, see what I like in myself versus what I don't like about myself. Or another one that helped me; compliment at least 3 people today. If you're busy focusing on overall improvement, mentally, emotionally, physically; you could see yourself differently and for the better. You might not be your fav pole star athelete right away, but you will be happy to work towards making more effort in pole and happiness.

Doing ANY (no exaggeration) exercise, stretching, getting up from sitting -laying down Parts of my body cracks (like an old house) not always sore, guess I’m used to it, but everyone knows its me coming. Fitness instructors can tell when I’m not doing jumping jacks, or push ups, can hear my ankles, knees, elbows, wrists. During yoga – kinda got snubbed out for making too much noise, and others laugh.
I blame it on having an eating disorder for a decade. I only take ‘joint health’ supplements MSM, hyaluronic acid, etc (for yrs, no change of function) any advice on a solution to a silent body? 30 yo. Healthy weight, tall girl. If advice to see a physician or specialist, which field? -
I can agree with Sassyboots- poling is the one thing I don’t feel anxious about being perfect -letting anyone in a team/group down. I FINALLY allow one thing (pole) to try & try & try. Usually I don’t try, I do or I don’t do. Failure or possibility of failure stops me for enjoying life. Pole is my outlet to ‘not be “me”, while being “truly me”‘.
Since I haven’t got a pole to fit my house, the studio is truly a therapeutic session, not just a workout -girl time. Music, accomplishment, thinking of adjusting moves for current conditions, no time for negative reacting.
Agreeing with those with e.d. In the studio I have a terrible time feeling accomplished of being a healthy weight, there’s mirrors and skinny & small ( portion; 5’- 5’5” girls everywhere) I’m a good tall height & fabulous bumbum. I have to keep reminding myself “I’m strong and I’m sexy. I am finally athletic, ( whoa, I’ve never been excited to think/say that!) SO GLAD strong is the new skinny! Strong in & out is the ultimate sexy, head toss!! -
How about sports bras for high impact cardio? During Pole I wear a Target ‘sports bra’ but for working out has been a pain. Under armor brand doesn’t carry a comfortable size, wearing only one bra, size 34 DDD. (I know for some -that’s a dream size, but not for bootcamp cardio)

I wish any short that wasn’t a man’s boxer brief (only man’s short I wore) would cover my crack.
I have a large bum, and my crack is long, any short I wear, regardless of size, my crack is exposed to a point, I’m a size 8 jean with my crack exposed I feel lucky when exposure of a tong is the only thing they admit they see. So happy when high waisted pant/shorts came into style again!
Any shorts out there which are higher in the back side? -
“The first rule of fight club is; we don’t talk about fight club.” I analysis then laugh, “I do pole fitness, different pressure points on the body react differently.” Thats how I took the bruising & anyone’s reaction.
My bf still is unhappy of pride bruises: “(big smile) this one is from…” He rolls his eyes, and I have to reassure him, at least I’m not into roller derby and purposely fight another.
I heal myself with epsom salt and pride. Sometimes I forget my multi-vitas and proper hydration. That can do it to me. -
My mum is Finnish and my dad is (I’ll say Mediterranean) – when I say ethnically Northern AFRICAN people doubtfully double take, since I’m not (pc) black. So I tan great, during high school I would prevent skin exposure while on vacations, towels and scarfs on head. Greenish pale, like green olives was the colour of my skin. My mum envied my skin tone. In fact without sunless tanning my mum kinda looks similar to this lady’s supposed (2nd) photo. No skin cancer yet (knock on wood, & 55 yo).
I finally go into the sun and never got burnt other than during/after a 3 day nude period at Burning Man ( I blame dehydration).
Sunless tanning has Tremendously improved my acne – scars & ingrown hair growth. And mood, best & cheapest antidepressant -anti anxiety Tx. So what I spend $100 on a bottle of tanning lotion?
So beauty is in the eye of the beholder, & I doubt the salon would risk lawsuit. And 15 minutes of fame is SO alluring to so many; we (those with social media access) should know that some are stupid enough to do anything for it & more. -
I'm tall, (5'9") but the shortest girl in my family, my younger sisters are about 6' or taller, so wearing my stilletos I'm FINALLY to big sister. Wearing stilletos to practice around the house I look down ontop of the fridge, haha.
But in the pole studio I fear my legs hitting other girls when spinning, and instructors really have to say body positions (shoulder/hip width), instead of "a couple inches/feet away" because of we are not 5'2"-5'5" petite body frames.
But oh lala for dancing and focusing on legs, girls have mentioned some things I do look ackward (because some strength issues -lifting body more so legs don't drag) and other moves are elegant and fluid.
So practice and smile, have fun !

I'm supposed to wear something underneath?
I find just the (made for) 'pole' shorties enough for coverage, and other shorts I wear poling I wear victoria's secret silly message undies underneath and usually flash my studio girls with (the message)- nothing else intentionally or unintentionally.
Yandy is a good source for full view before purchase. I hate too much fabric up in there, my bum eats anything not a string when I move in the slightest.
But on a side note Bad Kitty Brazilian short I luv, but regardless on my diet (size 6) or not (size 10) my bum crack shows in them, from size Medium to X Large, anyone else? That's why I would wear undies – but doesn't help. I got a lot of beautiful bum bum, I don't mind showing , only the crack is embarassing.

New friends know I won’t give up asking them to get hooked on pole so they will get a pole room. I might be moving, all my requirements were 2 toilets, storage, ‘fitness’ room. man-in-my-life is buying the house, with parents’ gift- mom hates the idea/lifestyle (tongue out to her) so the spare room, other spaces will be empty till…. I WILL get my pole room b*tch inlaw. How to get around this?

I used to use an online dating service, I mentioned I was athletic and working early on my bucket list, (pole & all forms of dance) never actually mention “pole dance/fitness”.
When I went on a date he brought up the bucket list, we happened to be walking around the parking lot, I did a pirulotte (? Spell? The twirlie thing) into a climb sit/hold (really cold really thick sign post). And said I’m learning as much as I can in different dance forms, also looking for a foxtrot partner. Smiling. He was interested but other things ceased any relationship.
Be honest and dont brag about the pole burns for awhile if he’s supportive. -
I sometimes have this, Sundays I close the restaurant, open on Mondays. I don’t sleep in between, I would oversleep (I gotta be there @ 4:45am) I take a nap before the studio’s bootcamp (I quit the pole session afterwards due to over sweaty body). Then work at 8am Tuesdays. Tuesdays after fitness classes I don’t try any more, straight to bed around 10pm. It’s a rotating schedule other than mentioned above, I crash every once in a while. But usually give pole, fitness/bootcamps a rest 1-2 times a week, even though my heart pouts. On a side note I’m recovering from BAug, & my back is killing me when I take in too much pole, fitness, light rest. New boobs, or lifestyle?

I have long legs, I’m always on the quests for over the knee leg warmers and socks & have a hosiery ‘fetish’ (spend more on those than accessories/shoes!) ANY sharing on yummy glam accessories- do share! I buy mine at Target & Leg Avenue. Sometimes I modify for desired length.
I wear leg warmers under long pants on top of socks in winter during warm up. Pants off, socks off when I warmmed up enough- if leg warmers are long enough & I feel like spins, floor work, sexy transitions they stay on. Climbing and learning inverts they come off.
During floor work either warm up or session exercise I protect my knees with leg warmers.
Shoes: If they’re kinda loose I wear socks or fishnets, no other nylons, slippery. Plus I can put powder in socks- sweaty girl. Boots I wear leg warmers due to size again, shins are loose.
