Yes, it can be spinny or static. The PS poles are also easier to switch between modes, with a simple pull of a pin.

I have question for you ladies that have recieved your poles….
I am considering buying one, but I am concerned with the way the two poles pieces screw together at the top. See, I am left handed and so most of my spins are counter clockwise. I am worried that in static mode, I might unknowingly unwind the top piece and send myself flying into the wall! Have either of you tried doing any extensive left handed spins? Could you foresee this being a problem for someone such as myself?
Also do either of you have a skinny brass? I thought those would be available but they are not listed on the website..

Ooh! This looks like it’s going to be exciting, and i think I have this weekend off from work… maybe I can make it an extended vacation and come down for a visit with everyone! I would love to meet you all in person!!!

I don’t dislike it…I just dislike the fact that it won’t come apart LOL….
I wish I had this problem! My issue is that my A/B poles are always unwinding from each other when I do spins. I am left handed, so most of my spins are left handed. I have been thrown off several times in mid-swing because the top pole would loosen and unwind, essentially turning it into a spinning pole.

Just so y’all know, if you request a top loading pole, they still also include the attachment to make it bottom loading. Two options for the price of one, not bad. I’ve been on and off the phone with them quite a bit over the last few weeks getting my order sorted out, and their customer service has been awesome. Everything is dealt with promptly and professionally. And yay for the 45mm pole! Whole new levels of pole burn though https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif
That’s good to know, thanks. Glad you got your issues sorted out. I have mixed feelings about their service however. I have been waiting for them to ship my pole for over a week now. They have told me twice that it would be shipped, 1st last tue then they said "early" this week, but I have yet to receive a shipment notice. If I don’t get anything tomorrow, I may just cancel the order.

oh, that’s too bad… maybe another time.

Not sure how the new Xpoles work, but with the old ones, it usually means you overtightened it.

Here is a vid Alena just posted demoing the new pole…

That is about a 2.5 hour drive from most of us in the Metro Detroit area. Are you only going to be stuck in the Hillsdale area or can you travel?

I doubt anyone has tried it yet as the first shipment was made this week. The only person I know of that has rec’d one is Alena Downs. She does a 10 min video showing how to set it up which is on her YT account and also on the PS website. A friend of mine ordered hers back in October and hers isn’t due to be shipped until March 22. I’m guessing they are little backed up over there. But as soon as my friend gets hers, I am sure I’ll be over there to check it out. I’ll post my opinion of it when I give it whirl.

I have a 50mm TG I may be looking to sell. I recently bought another pole so I won’t be using this one too much. I am waiting for my new pole be delivered and tested out before I put this one up for sale.

Hey smokinangel,
I spoke with Kim this morning and she said that they will continue to carry the parts necessary to make poles top loading for awhile because so many studios still have those poles, so she was able to switch my order for me. My pole will probably ship tomorrow.
I hope you are able to get yours sorted out! I had asked about a skinny brass pole but she said those are only available as bottom loading. What I really want is a skinny brass top loading pole. But oh well, We can’t have it all! -
I just got my bottom-loading pole. There’s probably an 1/8" separation/rise where the bottom plate covers over the pole, but it’s not been a big deal for me during my first workout on it.
Do you have any troubles doing split grips or handsprings when having to grip the sleeve. Also, what is the sleeve made of?

Do you know if that applies to the regular diameter poles as well? I ordered one of their poles on Ebay recently. The picture was that of the old style, but the invoice I rec’d was for the new extreme pole. I tried to call them to cancel the order as that is not the model I wanted, but they told me I have call back on Monday to speak to the manager. In the meantime, I hope they don’t ship out the wrong pole… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

Hi there! I am a Michigander myself. As Charley said, there is a group of us that like to get together for organized pole jams every other month or so. Check us out here.. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=37105573770

Try putting the pole up ad the loosening the parts while it’s still erected. Just be sure to loosen the nut on top first. Also, use screw drivers instead of the chopsticks. They offer more leverage and are more comfortable to grip. If that doesn’t work, you can put the screwdrivers through the holes and lay the pole on the ground. Have someone stomp on the screwdriver, pushing it into the floor to give it a quick shock and counter force from the ground. Good luck!

Oooh Glitter! I hope you can make it! I had sent you and Joel invitations to the event via Facebook yesterday. I am not sure who else is in the Chicago area, but if u know of anyone please pass it along. You have to come!!!

MemberFebruary 13, 2010 at 3:52 pm in reply to: what do you say when people call it a "stripper pole"?tbh, I don’t really care what people call my pole. To me, it’s my "pole." Most people associate the word "pole," whether it be for dance or exercise, with strip clubs. It’s just our culture. In fact, before I bought my own pole and started coming on these forums, I called it a stripper pole as well. "Dance pole" can be confusing because there are many styles of dance out there that use different types of props and one can misunderstand what it means. I don’t feel the need to correct them, because it’s not attacking my character at all, so I am not offended.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I am not a stripper and wouldn’t make that assumption about me, and if they do make that assumption, they probably have no business talking to me about it in the first place. Pole dancing is gaining enough popularity as a fitness based activity nowadays so that people are not shocked to find out that I have pole in my home. They usually understand what it’s for. Especially because my pole is set up in my dining room, in full view of anyone who comes into my home, along with my weights, my yoga mat, exercise ball and trampoline. If it were meant to be a sexual thing, I would have it in a private area. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

I rarely take my pole down but when I do I pre-loosen the joints before taking it down, which makes it much easier! first loosen the nut at the top of your pole then use your screwdriver or chopsticks to loosen each joint before bringing the pole down.

Wow! Beautiful pics!
