has anyone used the round crash mats VS the square crash mats? is it all a preference thing, or is one better than the other? i kinda think the round one would be better since we circle the pole & all but IDK really. i need a real crash mat really bad! i have been using couch cushions but i don’t want to destroy them & the move around since there is no velcro to hold them in place so its not really that "safe", i can just imagine crashing down between them & that would totally suck! i want a 6in thick crash mat because i have cement under the carpet in my pole room & i really don’t want to bust/shatter my knee/elbow/head https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif so i’m thinking the thicker mat would be best https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

hardcorepoles.com !!! i have one of their poles & i love it!! the weight limit on the permanent pole is 300lbs & 240lbs on the removable ones https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

i had a similar thing happen to me when i tried to do a reverse grip spin, my arm was tingly/numb/achy & i stayed off the pole for a few weeks. i thought that would be much better than injuring myself more, especially since i wasn’t really sure what i had done & i didn’t want to cause any permanent damage or have to have surgery to fix something https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif so i think taking it easy for a few days/weeks is the best thing you can do & if you still have pain go to your doctor…

well, i sent her links to local studios & places to buy poles (x pole, platinum stages & hardcore poles) & said something about not feeling comfortable with anyone other than myself using my pole since someone could get injured https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif & honestly, i have no desire to take a pole class with her (that sounds so mean but she never in 5 years wanted to be "real life outside of work friends" before she saw my dance pole, so… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif ) & i really don’t have to $$ to spend on a class either. i am saving up for a crash mat so i can stop using/destroying my couch cushions, lol! & i work much better at my own pace so online lessons for me at home works out perfect https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

i have mighty grip & iTac2. the might grip doesn’t work wonders for me. it helps for a few minutes but then i need to reapply it & i have found that it is hard to clean off of my pole & leaves little "chunks" that i have to scratch off with my nails https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif i just got a sample of the iTac2 & i LOVE it!!! i will be buying more for sure! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif i used it on spinny for like 45 minutes & i did not have to reapply! i had to clean my pole 2x to get it all off BUT it was still quicker than scratching the chunks off when i used the mighty grip! 99% of the time i don’t get sweaty hands & i have heard that if you do have sweaty hands the iTac2 just makes a mess.
**** the iTac2 is a waxy kind of texture, probably better for dry hands (like mine) & the mighty grip is a powder texture so i bet it would work for people who have sweaty hands better than it did for me.
^^^^^ this is just my opinion, not fact https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif ^^^^^ -
everytime i try the reverse grab spin my arm feels like its going numb, not while i’m doing the move but after i’m done with pole for the day & relaxing. is that something to do with a rotator cuff injury? i thought it was a few months back so i stopped doing pole for a few weeks & i haven’t had any problems with the numbing feeling since… well, until i tried it again on monday & my arm has that numbing feeling again https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif i know am doing something wrong when it comes to the reverse grab spin, but what? i keep my shoulders down & back & it feels fine while i am doing it. i don’t swing very high to get into it because i am trying not to be too hard on my arm. its not like its the end of the world if i can not get this move but i would really like to. this is the only move i have ever gotten hurt on or felt like i "over did it" on. i tried the RGS on monday & my arm was still bugging me today so i didn’t get to pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif i hate it when i can not pole!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

i love the idea of a special bag for pole! i’ll bet you could sell a bunch of them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

go to pandora.com & type in "60’s" or your favorite artist from that time, random stuff from that time should come up & it will most likely be stuff you wouldn’t have thought of on your own, but i’ll bet you will like a lot of it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
i have a aerosmith channel, jimi hendrix channel & a journey channel on my pandora && those are my favorite ones to use when i pole! mostly its stuff i would have never even thought of (& some stuff i have never heard) but it great!! -
Someone should make cellulite "fashinable" so most of women would be happy and to bad for the 10% left https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
I got some too even when i was really skinny but that’s a fact that man barely notice it even when you show them. So we all should learn to be happy with our body. And then learn how to use photoshop for our picture on the beach https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gifOMG yes!!! i wish someone would! lol!
anyone who is feeling bad about something on their bodies needs to google "celebrity before and after photoshop" && you will totally feel way better about any little flaws you may have https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif since most of us look at celebrities as having perfect bodies & skin seeing them before PS is a life changing thing:cheers:
