OMG I love the idea of a Veena DVD collection!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
I dont subscribe to the video lessons here cause my internet connection is unpredictable plus I pay for studio lessons already. But anytime Ive ever seen a lesson video by Veena Ive loved how she breaks down the moves. And just from watching Veena’s regular videos Ive learned LOADS!
Ok basically my point is that Id LOVE a Veena dvd that I could play in my pole room whenever I want and not have to worry if my stupid internet is gonna cut out or my laptop overheat!!!
Pretty please do it Veena!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gifyou said it all! i´m also blessed with realy crappy internet. the a dvd collection would be awsome! maybe one with some floor work in it also?
pretty please with sugar on top veena?

i don´t understand why they won´t give you the referal? (i also havn´t any clue how the american healthcare system works so this might just be stupidity on my part) i mean you are certified in sports. this is your profession (you even have a whole website to prove it), if this pain is preventing you from doing your job, than they should have to give you the referal.
i´d try a cairopracter. i love to go to the bone crusher, but of course i´m nuts.
and we are all entitled to a pity party when we are feeling down. you´re always here for us in our acheivements and frustrations, and of course we shall be here for you.
i hope you feel better real soon and try to keep a positive mentality (i know its so hard) because negative thoughts realy slow down the healing process. think not of what you can´t do now, but what you are going to do as soon as your better! in the meantime maybe you could work on other pole related projects to distract yourself, such as some more of those cool articles about poling and poles, maybe some history of pole dancing. or maybe you coud start planning the sv dvd (hint hint)…
lastly at the risk of sounding completely loony, do alot of hugging, we can´t do it personally so hug your hubby and the kids and friends, the dog, long warm hugs. that warm fuzzy feeling has helps you heal faster!

ive been meaning to post this question for a while.
i get how to upload the pics and i made one of them primary but the little picture just doesn´t show up on the posts.
people who have been on the site for longer all have their little avatars and the more recent users don`t. ive also noticed that some of the older members´ avatars dissapeared when they changed to new primary fotos. i guess its not really important but i did like it alot before with all the avatars on the threads, it was nice to be able to put a face (or whatever image) to the names.

awww jungle!
don´t feel bad! like you say, you have freinds and family that support your poledancing quest and these are the people that know you and love you and these are the only people that matter! plus all of us on sv who love and admire you! feel the love man!!!!!
i know sometimes its hard, i know i felt alot of rage reading some of the sick posts some of those weirdos left. especially that slide idiot guy (i´ll help you beat him up amcut!) but there were some nice posts. and the best is just to take pity on these poor fools.
i´m going back to work this week (my part time bar job) where i can wear whatever i like as long as its black and/or white. i want to make up some fun t-shirts and would love some help from you guys.
things like: "pole dance for the cure to smallmindness!" or "poledance vs. ignorance" or "i´d rather be a poledancer than a pinhead!"
are any of these any good? do they make sense? i don´t care who knows i pole! and i think that the more you hear about it the faster the stigma will pass! help?feel the love!!!!!

thats funny! me too! when i was a kid i had the super thick glasses and braces. (an even uglier than betty ugly betty) because of sports and stuff when i was 12 i got my first pair of contacts and i thought, wow, one less thing for everyone to make fun of! for the first time in my life i could actually see my face. so i look in the mirror and omg my nose is enormous! eventually the braces came off to reveal a beautiful smile but all through my teens i was obsessed with my nose and the possibility of having surgery to make it smaller or at least to take out the lump in the middle. but as i got older i too grew into it. in certain angles i can be quite beautiful in others down right ugly. but it´s my nose. it makes me unique. i´d rather be different and unforgettable than to just look like everybody else. beauty is about self confidence. if you believe your beautiful most others will too. and the ones that don´t don´t matter anyway. you can´t please everyone!
anyway i think that plastic surgery is a personal decision, if you´ve exhausted all other possbilities and you really feel that this will make you happy than by all means go for it! but like the other girls said, make sure it´s for yourself and not for anyone else!

MemberMay 21, 2009 at 12:45 am in reply to: Flirty Girl Fitness Pole & My Sexy Little Pole??hi and welcome to the site! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
in truth i had never heard of either of these poles, but as i am bored out of my mind today i did some searching on the net to get more info.
about the flirty girl fitness pole i was basicly only able to find advertising for it. all the sites i was able to find gave absolutely no mention of:- what the pole is made of???? does it have to be screwed into the ceiling or floor???? if not what is the support system???? -is it in one piece or in various pieces????- if it comes apart, how are the tubes put together??? (screwed or slipped on?) (there is an extension peice wich is slipped on so that is probably the system)
i think that this is all very important information that should be given when selling a product that is expensive (259.94+s+h!!!) and possibly dangerous to your personal well being!
wasn´t able to find any complaints about the pole but it does seem that they have alot of problems with their custumer service.i had a bit more luck with the my sexy little pole : the adverts say it is made from stainless steel and comes apart but that was about it. there is a promotional vid where the lady does a peekaboo type dance and a couple of very tiny spins without really any momentum at all (and the pole swayed quite a bit!) again no specific details about this pole or it´s installation. i was however lucky to find a pdf with the instructions http://sweetlusthk.com/downloads/Sexy%20Pole%20Instructions%204-10-07.pdf
from here i was able to deduce that although being a sturdier pole made from stainless steel (is it really,i mean the carmen electra is advertised as being chrome…haha) it has all the same falts all these cheapy poles have, like slip together tubing and a spring inside(??!!) i would definately not buy or recomend this pole to anyone who is serious about pole dancing…sorry for the long boring post!

oh sweetie, i so feel your pain!
for almost 3 weeks i´ve been doing the pole sits almost everyday to try to get used to the burn. it was realy hard and frustrating and so painful! but just when i was starting to lose hope, yesterday it almost didn´t hurt. ím like wow! i was even able to let myself slide slowly down the pole. so i think great, now i´m going to hang back a little see if i can do a wrist sit or something. wrong! excruciating pain! still did it a few times though. was barely able to walk after and had aquired a bunch of new pinching briuses.
i guess different moves cause friction on different parts of your thighs and your body and it will take quite a while before your skin gets used to it all over.
so don´t despair (i´m not going to!),grin and bear it, and someday we´ll get there!

aw! that really sucks!
you might put some ice on it for now but you really should go to a doctor to get it checked out. could be nothing but if it is its best to get it taken care of imediately! believe me, you do not want to fool around with your muscle health.
get well soon!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif frida https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
