I'm 48 and find it really hard to lose weight, I walk 4 miles a day Monday to Friday, and pole 3 times a week, but it's alot harder to lose weight than it was in my thirties. I put on a few pounds last winter but I was also doing more strength building pole work and I had bult more upper body muscle so I wasn't worried but a few pounds of fat snuck on my hips tummy and legs and just wont budge!! I've always has to watch my weight all my life and I think its just my age and heading towards menopause but I dont like it 🙁

Happy Birthday Klaus, Looking good, have a great time.

I started with a 50mm, but a year later got the 45mm, I have smallish hands am about 5ft 5 weigh around 150 lbs. I do prefer the 45 for grip and wish I'd got the 45mm from the start. I dont have any trouble with thigh grips it just makes everything easier on my fingers lol, I would love to try a 40mm at some point they look awesome, just worried that I might find CAR'S thigh holds more difficult, but lots of girls on here get on great with their 40mm's..

I have 3,4 and 5 of Jamillia's set, and I totally agree with with Runemist ,they are brilliant for breaking down moves and conditioning for certain moves eg Ayesha, shoulder mount etc I have learnt alot with these and I also have Felix's set and love hers too they are more for a visual learner not so much detail but still very good with a lot of content. I did manage to get my first Jade watching Felix, though not anywhere as good as hers lol.

I love my chrome 45mm, but would really love to try 40mm. I have similar issues with chrome, love it through spring summer in U.K. but once Autumn comes I spend about 45 mins just sliding down it unless I turn the heat up!! I would def get 40mm chrome if I ever sell my 50mm static x pole but worried about leg grip, thigh grips with a 40mm as I could only have one pole up, please keep us posted if u get the 40mm.

I use olive oil and leave it on her hair over night it really works on Becky's hair . We were having terrible knotting, matting and frizzing problems after swimming but I found great advice on the British Curlies web site it covers all curly hair from afros to wavy, and saved alot of tears, mine and Becky's 🙂

I live in the U.K. and once Autumn comes I'm just sliding down my chrome pole but I warm up the room and warm up the pole with loads of spins and use shaving gel which really helps me to stick. I think some Australian girls recommended shaving gel on this site awhile ago and it really does help.

They disappeared quickly , and I no longer get them through headstands, handstands etc but I do get them when I throw up, although I've never checked my eyes after sex lol 😉

MemberSeptember 14, 2012 at 3:12 pm in reply to: Thinner pole better for short legged polers?I love my 45mm , I find eveything easier than on my old 50mm. I'm just under 5ft 5 with small hands and love the 45mm for thigh holds layback etc . I would love to try a 40mm as the grip would be great but I'm with Sensual in that you have to find a pole you feel comfortable with, whether it's a 38mm,40mm, 45, or 50mm I dont want to struggle with my 50mm when everything is easier on my joints with the 45mm. I think X pole aren ow stating that the 45mm is the new standard size and alot of competion poles are 45mm .

just read Nikki Gemmell With my body and loved it, though I think its a case of love or hate it from the reviews.

I loved Megan Harts books Broken and Dirty, erotic and are beautifully written with a good story, Lorelei James books are full of cowboys, menages mild BDSM and more hot cowboys. Also Dangerous boys and their toys by Shayla Black, sweet persuasion by maya Banks check out the reviews on Amazon to see if they're what you are looking for.

You will love it, I originally learnt on a 50mm sport pole but got a 45mm Xpert a year later. I immediately found it easier for my grip and I didn't notice much difference for thigh holds. I live in the U.K. and got a chrome because its sticky enough for summer and during the winter I just make sure that I warm up the room before I pole and also warm up the pole by doing a few spins and that usually works well,

Lizzie, I also have the Braun epilator. I find it is a bit painful at first but after about 5 minutes the endorphins or whatever flood in and it doesn't feel so bad unless I do a really sensitive area!! I do find a glass or two of wine before I epilate usually helps 🙂 It's just a bit tedious,as it takes a while to get all the hairs and I find myself going over areas again and again trying to ger some of the little buggers out!! Maybe the newer models are better.

I started using an Xpole 50mm sport and then got a 45mm X pole Xpert a year later as I had very achey fingers from using the 50mm. I love my 45mm and find my grip so much better and found no problem with CKR's and thigh holds from down sizing. I would like to try the 40mm but I don't think I can get another pole yet, as that averages out at one a year 🙂 maybe if I sell the 50mm lol

@ Ive8899 I agree with Smokinangel, I love the way Jamilla explains all the moves, I've also got Felix's and they are good, prettily shot etc, but there is not quite as much explanation as Jamillia's, Tthe moves are repeated 3 times and its much more of a " watch and do" but I have learnt alot from these too. Maybe get Jamillia's and then get Felix advanced dvd to follow on when you've wor4ked through Jaimillia's..

Hi, I started poling at home 2 years ago when I was 46, I didn't worry about losing weight first, girls of all shapes and sizes pole, I still need to lose weight but pole keeps me fit. I do my flexibility along side my pole training and I also walk and cycle 4 miles a day to my youngest daughter school, I would say get the pole and if you get Veena's lessons, I belive there are loads of conditioning excercises and stretches to get you ready to pole, just go for it and you'll just get slimmer and fitter anyway. Good luck 🙂

Oh wow a place to try out the X poles would be great. I've got a 50mm chrome and 45mm chrome, wonder about the 40mm and wouild love to try it first . Thats a brilliant idea X pole 🙂

@Sensualscimitar, Hi, I saw your grip pics and my hands are exactly the same size as yours, I'm around 5ft4 1/2. I originally poled on a 50mm Sport pole, then got a 45mm Xpert which I love but I am tempted to get a 40mm in the future, I have read that CAR's and shoulder mounts are more difficult with the 40mm have you found these alot more difficult with the 38mm . I tend to spend most of my time on inverts etc and only just recently got Superman and working on shoulder mounts (still not there yet) extended butterfly and Jade etc and not so much time spent on spins, but I do wonder if my grip would feel even better with a 40mm any advice appreciated. 🙂

I love my X pole, it's a 45mm Xpert and it in my kitchen, it's a bit tight on one side because I'm only a few feet from a radiator but I adapt my moves although occasionally I give my leg a good whack or nose dive into the cat's food lol, but I woild say that your space sound good, I read somwhere, that ideally you should be able to hold onto the pole with one hand and walk around it with the other arm outstretched and not be able to touch anything and that will give you enough room. I could do with more room but it was a case of pole there or nowhere, so I adapt to it. I'm sure other people on here will give you good advice on poles, but I've had two X poles and I haven't had any problems, they're quite easy to move but my pole stays up most of the time. 🙂
