I still can’t do aerial SM from superman. I climb and then go to hood ornament so I get a good leg grip going. From there I can go to pretty much any SM grip, although not every transition is as smooth and/or pretty..
But what Charley says is so right! If you can do al the things she mentioned, your abs will be totally ready. You might also add doing SM from sitting on the floor, preferably with straight legs.

I’m sorry that happened to you! It’s always a very scary experience when a pole comes down!
I don’t know about the ring. But when did you last retighten your pole? -
The first one reminds me of the Marley, but without grabbing the feet. I have no particular name for it though.
I thought the 2nd one was called a Half Jade. Or was that the other leg variation (holding leg bent, back leg straight). Or are there two varieties of Half Jade?

I feel I’m not really helping https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif -
I agree! Bridged is a different scorpio variation. Oona Kivelä does a beautiful bridged scorpio at 2:27 in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gebtdTxD3RQ

It might take some time to stop developing those bruises. And they might reappear when you have been off the pole for a while. But you’ll notice that they aren’t as big as the first ones pretty soon. Give them a bit of time to heal, maybe slap on some arnica to help them heal faster. I have to say that some bruises are more persistent than others though. I’ve been trying the knee hold for months (and it’s finally mine) but still get bruised knees/shins from it. But on a happier note, I hardly ever get bruises anymore from pole climb, pole sit, crucifix etc. So hold on!! You’ll get there soon enough!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

I would add that for me the lefty unscrewing could be a deal breaker. I would at least look into that!

I think it’s safe to assume so. I know that our 34mm (custom, no brand) poles have way more wobble than I have seen on any video featuring the star stand alone. Some people even call it swaying instead of wobbling. (Or are we talking wobbling of the stage rather than the pole itself, ’cause in that case just forget what I said https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif )
And it is true that the wobble doesn’t really affect you if you learned on a ‘wobbly’ pole from the get go. I never even really notice it, but it always scares ppl watching my vids. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif -
Lol, that is just sheer awesomeness! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_DJ.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
Great song too!!! -
Maybe you should make a vid where you hum the song https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
No j/k. But if you remember any more clues, please share, because I’m afraid I can’t really help you at this point https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
Good Luck! -
On the homepage, when you’re logged in, you see in the right top corner "Welcome Spinderells". Next to that click on "My Profile". On that profile page, choose "Edit Profile". And on that page you should be able to change your settings.

It all sounds a bit scary to me. I might be over cautious but I saw a pole go through a window once and it wasn’t pretty! Luckily no one got hurt and the pole wasn’t damaged, but still a pole is a large and heavy object when it comes down. Maybe visit a nearby playground or the like to get some poleing action in the meantime? How much of a wait are we talking?
-
Lol, I’m not smartphone ready yet, but have been thinking about what brand/type I would want. All my criteria just went out of the window!!! Nothing matters more than access to my SV!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
I’ll be sure to check those pros and cons with my SV peeps as soon as I get around to going smartphone. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif -

I have no suggestions for the clothing issue. But I do want to make a note on the shoes. Since they’re technically slippers, be careful you don’t kick them off! But otherwise they look very cool!

Ok, getting my geek on lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif
The circumference (when you measure around the pole) can be calculated by multiplying the diameter with pi.
(Or the reverse: if you measure the circumference of the pole, and divide it by pi, you get the diameter). -
38, 45, and 50mm is the size of circumference of the pole.
Just a small correction: it’s actually not the circumference, but the diameter!
(but that’s just details) -
