If people don’t understand how pole dancing is not an art after you explain to them in crystal clear what it is exactly, than it’s not worth your time explaining anything else to them. I always thought pole dancing was trashy and for attention whores but I realized on my own, after watching video after video on YouTube that it’s NOT trashy at all.
Also, they don’t realize that a pole dancer has to wear less so their body "sticks" to the pole, it has nothing to do with trying to be a slut. Sure, some may wear a lacey bra and a thong while they pole but who cares? If a woman wants to feel sexah and show off what poling has done for her body while they dance and practice their moves then good for them, it’s non of anyone’s business but your own.
Here’s a video I sent a couple of my online friends that replied with a "WOW" and a "….thats epic", also one of my all-time favorite ones. This truely IS art https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif

It’s suprising how many reside on the east coast, especially in MD and surrounding states ;o . It’s pretty awesome here on this site, I’ve learned quite alot in my short time here (haven’t touched a pole yet, though) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Since he told you he doesn’t know what to do with his money and wants to help you out, then it’s not bad at all. Maybe you can even invite him over to watch to practice sometimes and help you with some moves aswell (support your back with some upside down stuff & whatnot). He may even find it interesting enough to give it a try aswell, who knows!
You can also offer to help him with things around his house or something, work off the payment since you want to pay him back but you’re short with money atm. I’m the same way, I hesitate when people offer things https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_silent.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

…I need hoodies. Seriously. Sexy hoodies with OVERSIZED hoods. I’m so tired of stupid hoodies made for tiny heads that don’t have massive hair.. I want one that covers like… at least a fourth of my face and looks super hot. Stretch material.
I haven’t seen any oversized hoodies that don’t look goofy yet but I thought this set is pretty darn cute, it has a hoodie but not a oversized one unfortunately. Did I mention it’s cute? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Welcome to the site! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
Here’s the article on things to know before buying a pole, there’s some you shouldn’t get because they’re not made very good at all and end up collapsing as a result, which could cause serious injuries and then there’s a list of some good ones, the X-Pole being one of them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

MemberFebruary 7, 2010 at 11:13 pm in reply to: what do you say when people call it a "stripper pole"?Since I haven’t touched a pole yet and likely won’t be getting one for a while, I can only say what I would likely tell people that call it a "stripper pole". First off, it’s not much different from poles you see in a gym that gymnastics whirl around on, a pole is a pole and people choose to do whatever they want to do on them so technically, it can’t be labeled one thing. Everyone uses their pole differently, some may not mind calling it their stripper pole while others prefer to call it their dance or fiteness pole. I personally, might call it "my x-pole of fitness awesomeness" and snap my fingers in their face (playfully of course, I’m not a snob lol) since it IS an awesome fitness tool https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif
I’ve been thinking on having a little dancey room built in the future, seperate from the house and my guy pal made a joke about calling it "The Booty Barn" when I mentioned getting like 3 or 4 poles for it so I could have pole jams there and I’ll totally do it too LOL …name it that. He said he’ll make the sign too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

MemberFebruary 1, 2010 at 1:32 pm in reply to: How old were you when you discovered pole dance?27 (current age). It hasn’t even been a year yet and it’s actually quite funny how I got interested in it, I found a free pass to the Ritz Cabaret in Baltimore in the b/f’s pants pocket while I was cleaning clothes so I was like wtf? and looked the place up online, saw it was a nakey strip club then I started looking up pole dancing because I was jealous, wanted to see what type of crap he was going off to see. I clicked on one of Veena’s videos on YouTube, this one to be exact: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-dR3Ya8ug0 and I was hooked. I signed up on here the same day too and I can’t stop looking for new pole vids on YouTube hehe. I’m addicted to REDKE71’s A-Z pole moves aswell, the Dove is one of my favs and I thought her kitty constantly showing her lovins throughout the vids was so cute lol.

Glad you all like it lol
I’ve seen pictures of bruised up girls from poling, including a big knot on a forehead before. Its interesting to know what areas get bruised more and the names of a couple moves that may cause them, if you haven’t touched a pole just yet… like me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_silent.gif
Lol that’s funny! If it helps, I think I got outer calf ones from reverse hook spins!!

MemberJanuary 30, 2010 at 10:17 am in reply to: Maryland Pole Studios? I need names/locations!I’m not so good with areas but here’s another one in Frederick MD, 21704. I have never been to a studio before but I think this one is quite pretty. You can’t judge one by their looks though, I suggest asking for a couple trial classes or whatever it is that some studios offer that allows you to pay for a couple classes to try out the studio/enviroment to see if you’re comfortable with where you are, before buying a membership.
