GAH! I’m liking ALL color options for these boots! First choice though is the black and then the pink https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

They really do look hawt with low-rise bootleg jeans and with the weather getting nippy now, that would be perfect! I probably wouldn’t wear anything past 5 inches though, to a bar just in case some stumbling later on occurs. You don’t want to twist your ankle or possibly worse.

Like what chemgoddess suggested, I ALWAYS check craigslist for mirrors but no one remotely close by ever seems to give any away but I won’t give up https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif . I’ll probably end up buying one when the time comes when I finally get a pole. I can’t right now, where I’m at but I will be able to once I move to North Carolina though so I have plenty of time to try finding one or two being given away for free. I also have that IKEA mirror bookmarked, its a nice one but it’s a little thinner than I want.
I really like this one from Lowes:

I worked overtime and was able to buy the 6 inch pole o mat off of ebay It was like 330 with shipping 60 so 390 Amercian dollars. I’m so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, I forgot about the S&H… I was looking at the cheaper price and completely missed the shipping charges. It would be different though if I was buying one, I try to be as cheap as I can because hey… if you can save about $5 or so, might as well.
The total at The Pole Dancing Shop comes to $430 (American dollars)…with their $95 shipping charge. Thats quite a difference https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif
I’ll have to remember to peek at e-bay too when shopping https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I am in BC Canada though…….Small relating to a size 8 or 9??
A size 8 or 9 would be more of a medium in American sizes. Here’s a chart that might help https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

MemberSeptember 20, 2010 at 3:00 am in reply to: Assembling and disassembling your x-poleI have a couple suggestions:
01. Put it in the kitchen so you can mix pole in with cooking. Hold the spatula in your mouth and reach it over to turn the food at the right time, while you’re on it.
02. There’s only room for one so the couch has gotta go!
03. Be rid of the couch here too and push the bed in it’s place so you can use the bedroom as a pole room.
04. See about finding a studio apartment with all wood flooring https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Ok maybe #4 is the only serious suggestion https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif, it would be interesting to see the youtube vid on how to assemble an X-Pole, the one I have planned to get is a 45mm chrome https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I know I don’t know very much about her but from everything I have ever came across about her, she was a beautiful person from the inside and out, and I wanted to find a picture good enough to post for her and this one caught my eye https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Some videos end up being a waste of money, I’ve seen some with horrible reviews on multiple sites before so I would make sure to read up on them before you dish out the money.
Good instruction = https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
Bad instruction = https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gifSometimes I wish that alot of the girls on here had some instructional homemade dvds available for sale https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

This would be pretty nice but I’m still in Maryland and don’t plan on moving to NC until sometime after the school year is over (still making the plans and 2 out of 3 of my kiddies is in school up here https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif ). Asheville is the place in mind so I’d be a couple of hours away from you (3 hours from Cary & 4 hours from Raleigh, according to google map) when the big move happens.
I’m hoping to attend a pole jam if one is happening sometime after I’m settled in or throw one if one isn’t, though https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Thats a good question, I did some research on this mat and it comes in two sizes, standard (2 inches thick) and professional (6 inches thick) and there’s some places charging up to $350.00, like amazon.com while Riley’s site charges 75 Euro, which is $97.95 in US dollars I THINK.
Here’s her site http://www.poleomat.com/
edit:
Ok, the 6 inch thick one is available only in the UK on her site. Amazon.com charges $350 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/?brand=PoleOmat&ref_=bl_sr_sporting-goods&node=3375301) and The Pole Dancing Shop charges $335 for it (http://www.thepoledancingshop.com/products/Pole%252dO%252dMat-(Professional)-(US-Only).html).Hope this helps some https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I don’t go to classes or even pole yet but I have a good idea of how long each classes are, and they aren’t very long at all, everyone deserves at least a couple of hours a week to themselves. You mentioned you stay at home 99% of the time and go to classes twice per week, thats only 2 days, an hour or 2 at the most each day that he doesn’t see you on those days but he does see you on the days you don’t go. He needs to understand how good this makes you feel and that you would go stir crazy if you stayed home all the time.
Your pole dancing progress is just like him going to school in a way, you both go to the classes to progress with what you’re doing so you’re better at it in the end. He really shouldn’t expect you to stay at home 100% of the time, you need that other 1% of time for yourself and you should have it because it makes you feel good. It’s only fair. Maybe you could compare your classes with his actually, he’s going to his to learn more and you’re going to yours to do just that, learn more too. It might not seem important like his classes is to him but it’s important to you and he needs to understand that. Staying cooped up in a house the majority of your days could possibly bring down your mood too so getting out at least a little can prevent that.
Like sosagely says about it being hard to tell the tone of someone through text though, I’m trying to be friendly and good natured about what I’m saying here https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif . I agree entirely with her as well with her reply. I just hope this doesn’t end with you giving up something you enjoy just to make him happy. Your happiness should be his happiness as well and he should be happy you get out a little and enjoy what he see’s while you pole, when you do get one for home.
It will also make you feel good to be able to show him what you can do and should also spice up your bedroom rawr too <3

Maybe have him sit down with you and watch some pole dance vids off here and YouTube, show him some beginner dancers, some that are on the same level as you or close and then some advanced ones like Leigh Ann, lolpoledancer1, Veena, REDKE, etc. When you’re able to get a pole for home, maybe ask him to help you hold some positions even if you don’t need the help. He might get that sense of being your partner again back https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
