I don't see it as all too harmless to someone who is healthy and eats something like that once in a while but if you're obese and at risk of health conditions or just straight up unhealthy and eat unhealthy foods all the time, then you're going to have problems when you eat something crazy like these burgers.
I get full from a regular cheeseburger with fries so I know I definitely would have to take the rest of a burger like this home for later but it would suck because burgers taste so much better fresh https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_pumpkin.gif

I had long hair in 2007 that touched the small of my back but during one of my super depressed states, I pulled it all over my shoulder and took sissors to it, not even caring it was very crooked so after about a month, I wanted to get it fixed and my mom's b/f trimmed it for me and it eded up being about an inch above my shoulders. It was weird not having my long hair and I would sometimes forget it was gone and go to pull it over my shoulder to play with it. DAMN, I missed it a lot ;x
I wash my hair every over day – every 3 days, depending on if I start feeling grungie, haven't had a trim since then so after 5 years, my hair is back to where it was but an inch or 2 longer so I'm a believer that giving your hair time to get at least a little greasy is actually good for it because it's nourishment and it ends up growing faster than it would if you washed it every day.
I do have split ends so I'll eventually need to get it trimmed maybe a few inches. I dread sissors touching my hair though lol

Tara's Youtube channel was one of the first 4 I checked out about two years ago before I knew pole dancing was more than just something women do in strip bars and saw the SV promoting in her channel then came here, browsed around and signed up. During the two years I've been lurking, I learned a bit about things I likely would never have learned about had I not been been open-minded about learning about the pole dancing fad.
Also, Tara Karina is one SEXAH name and it just stands out as well http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x58/DragonPhoenix82/Other/1527276lb76xkd518.gif
This social anxiety, is it pretty much the same as social phobia? I was diagnosed with depression, bipolar, ADD and social phobia a while ago myself and pretty much stayed in the house, only venturing out with someone else in the house to a store or to see my therapist once a week so moving from Maryland to North Carolina was quite a bit of a change after not doing much of anything with my life for the past 8 years.
Its always nice to know you're not a rare selection from the human population that got hit with things like anxiety. Its good to be able to relate to a bunch of others (though it isn't good that the dang crap exists lol)
Good to hear from ya though, you lil' pole vixen you and thanks for supporting SV. You helped bring a bunch of awesome peeps together.

I kinda assumed she got tired of perverts sending her messeges about their pecker size being the same length of her shoe heels, etc. etc. lol, and possibly got a serious staulker harassing her too close to home or something 🙁 . The thought of something bad happening had also went through my mind since theres a LOT of wackos out there that kidnap girls and they never turn up (I think I watch I.D. Discovery channel too much).
Thanks for the update, https://www.studioveena.com/users/view/bc3231ba-d89d-11df-ab19-12313b090e12. It would be great to get a shout from her that she's doing well.
Here's the site she has up too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Sounds like a Maryland pole jam sometime, is in order. Not only would it be spiffy as a get-together but fellow polers may be able to help master some moves https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
It also sounds like the instructor would benefit from hiring at least one more instructor to help teach. If you're having doubts with the studio then it may be good to browse around for others closeby and see if they offer a tryout class or something, so you can get a feel of what they're like. Changes can be for the best. The hardest part may be explaining to the instructor. She will likely understand though.
There's many studios with different payment packages, one being with drop in classes and another being with punch cards that give you the option to come in any time for how ever many times the card is good for.

I need to work on my flexability as well https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_pumpkin.gif
Its likely that your cousin pushed too quickly and did a split when she wasn't ready and just tells you things judging from her personal experience. The first and only time I did a split was when I was about 9 years old at a skating rink when my legs went out the wrong way and my butt hit the floor. I was left skating towards the benches sore but it wasn't terribly bad since kids are more flexible but I would likely break my legs off if I accidently did a split today before I'm physically ready for one.
I wouldn't worry yourself over it. Flexibility doesn't happen overnight and neither do splits but training your body to do them pays off in the end. Watching Veena's vids will definitely help. I haven't purshased any yet though but everyone suggests them ^^
Also, Alethea Austin has videos out that help with flexibility and splits that you may find helpful. I'm definitely interested in them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

I have a bunch of cheap silver hoop & stud earrings with six holes on my left ear/one on my right and wear a combo…. if I keep them all in for more than half the day, my holes get a little sore and bleed then the next day there's a dot of crust on some of them so I barely wear stuff in them these days.
I don't know WHAT metal they are because they are from places such as the Dollar Store, Family Dollar, Walmart, etc but they seem to have the same things in common: cute yet ouchy.
I'm now curious about which metal allergy I have exactly. I'll be glad when I find out though because I wouldn't mind going a full day without sore holes. Some of the holes were poked as far back as 1997 so it definitely isn't something new I'm experiencing.

as a side note – Dragon I had NO idea your local to me. I live in Hanover about 20min from downtown!
https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifMight see me at a future Bmore pole jam or an event sometime if I’m able to make it : D
im not sure if u want advice on finding a good pole or what? why did you "have" to reply to the ad?
I already have an idea of what I want to get, either a 45mm chrom X-Pole or a red Lil Mynx https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif . I felt I had to reply to the ad though, maybe save someone from getting screwed over with a bad pole. I would figure a pole is a pole and wouldn’t think there’s a such thing as a bad one so I’d end up wasting my money on whatever looks good, if I hadn’t came here and learned about them so I hope that I helped at least one person with making the right decision on not getting something dangerous https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I thought I had found a good buddy map but it ended up being something completely lame and I wasted my time creating an account I couldn’t even delete https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif. Looks like it’ll be trickier than I thought, to find one as good as the one we had before.

You’re quite welcome https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Being a dancer = being in shape, even for plus size girls and right now I’m not as toned as I’d like to be and I have a pudgy little belly. I see buns of steel and toned abs in profile pics which only gets me looking forward to pouncing onto a pole more and more.
A dancer’s body is one that you should admire, not hate just because you’re insecure about yourself. Either step up to them and ask for advice so you can not only enjoy the healthy benefits from it but feel better and sexier or walk away miserable and keep the snide remarks away because it only makes you look like an ass, judging someone that you haven’t even taken the time to get to know.
(I swear I’ll have to keep the second paragraph as a quote somewhere so I can say it to someone in the future, that seems rather closed-minded) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_exclaim.gif

MemberOctober 9, 2010 at 4:08 am in reply to: I am so SICK of the negative stereotype surrounding pole!the girl who said all of this has known me for 14 years https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif & i had been with her brother for almost 6 years. she knows me pretty good & just thinks i "put up a front" for his family. thats not true at all. i am myself always https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif sometimes i tone it down a little (like at work) but everyone i know knows about my pole dancing, even my grandma & my 77year old great aunt who watches my videos on facebook https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif
Then I feel sorry for her for apparently being miserable enough to feel the need to insult you in your home. For someone who’s known you practically all your life, she doesn’t know jack dittle about you which brings me to the most ovbious reason why a girl would call another girl a name without knowing the facts, because of jealousy. You are after all the hawtness (snuck a peek at your profile pic https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif ) and that combined with something completely smexy, such as pole dancing is urking to her.
I always found it funny when people said nasty things cause I see just as bad stuff on tv and movies. Plus half the girls that were so negative were the same girls at the nightclub dancing all sluty after a few drinks and going home with random men. But I was the whore, not them!
Another jealousy issue there and possibly low self esteem too. If girls have to be so friggin’ nasty to another girl and call her names without knowing if what they even say is true, then turn around and get drunk then sleep with strangers then I certainly do think it’s low self esteem whether they’ll ever admit it or not and if thats the case, it would tick them off even more when confronted which would result in them tossing more nasty names at you. I’ve known enough girls in my life that were like that, I would watch them give other attractive girls dirty looks then talk ignorant stuff about them even if they didn’t even KNOW who they were. Another reason I know is because I used to say nasty stuff about other girls occasionally and thats because I was jealous and it made me feel better about myself. I grew up though and stopped judging people I didn’t even know, I don’t even talk down about prostitutes because there’s always the possibility someone is forcing them into working as one.
I also notice that all you gals that get called whores and sluts is attractive and I pitty those who have to focus on hating on others rather than going out and getting their hair permed or straightened, their nails done or whatever to help them feel better about themselves.
I had the wrong impression about pole dancing at one time too and thought women were just being attention whores since there’s other jobs they could be doing rather than getting naked for strangers on a daily basis and I looked up some pole dancing on Youtube when I found a free strip club pass in the boyfriend’s pants pocket (I wash his clothes, so I gotta root in his pockets so I don’t end up washing change or some crap https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif ). I was so burned up about it, but forgot about the card even existing when I found some interesting videos. It was either Karol’s or Veena’s that I found first and I was like "omg" and watched a pile more then signed up for this forum that same night. My opinion about pole dancing changed pretty quick, thats for sure. The Reverse Grab that Veena does in that "Ninja Spy!" video sent chills down my back, I LOVE that move. I also notice that pole dancers seem to have the best personality too, I was a bit against being friends with other females because of how nasty a lot of the ones I know are but this place seems to have a magnet that attracts people with good personalities because all the best peeps from around the world seem to be right here <3

MemberOctober 8, 2010 at 2:13 pm in reply to: I am so SICK of the negative stereotype surrounding pole!oh honey! a few weeks ago i had someone come into my home & tell me that i was an attention whore because i have a pole in my home https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif seriously pissed me off, i’m sure you can imagine, lol! but you know what? we (pole people) know better! & we know how hard it is & how great it makes us feel && what a wonderful workout it is https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif the only thing any of us can do is just keep on poling & show our strength, if someone challenges your opinion on it you can show them some hard moves, or show them a tasteful pole video with a lot of hard tricks in it. i just sat there like an idiot because i was stunned https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif i didn’t even defend myself https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif that was mainly because it was my boyfriends sister (now my ex boyfriend) & i didn’t want to fuss with someone who could have been my family at some point… looking back, i really wish i had asked her to go try a easy move, like a fireman spin or something easy like that because we all know its harder than it looks & i think it would have changed her tone.
Wow, that was not only rude to automatically assume something about you without even knowing it for a fact but it was rude to come into your home and say it. People should always respect someone in their own home because they would expect respect in theirs. She apparently doesn’t know you good at all, else she wouldn’t have thought that but it could possibly be a jealousy issue. All dancers are fit and people, especially guys notice that so it possibly urked her to see a pole there and called you a name to make herself feel better.
Maybe make a dedication just for her, with all your best moves in it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif En Vogue’s Free Your Mind seems to be a good song to dance to actually, especially if you’re dedicating the vid to people who are hating on you.

I did a little more research and so far nothing still. I believe I will settle for PoleFit Carolinas if I do indeed take classes when I move down there. I’m tickled pink about who the instructors are there so that definitely makes the place a big plus for me. No complaints one bit.
