I am the same size in both pleaser and Ellie shoes. I own about 6 pairs of Pleasers and only two pairs of Ellie’s. the main difference I find is that the Pleasers are more narrow which isn’t good for me because I have wide feet. I especially like the clear plastic top shoes so they pinch the top front part of my foot. My glitter heels don’t do that at all. Also, when I compare a pair of pleaser and Ellie side by side, the Ellie has a slightly higher platform. Not by much but I see a difference. Maybe 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch.

I have a pair and I LOVE them!! Tiffany Hayden(owner) uses Ellie shoes so I would go with their sizing. I do find glitter droppings everywhere, but that is normal when you first get them and its not so much where I worry that the shoes don’t hold up. They’re well worth the money and I am already planning my next pair : ).

I’m between a size 8-10 and generally wear a large because of my chest. Sometimes a M depending on the style. I think we are similar in size. I got the L because I didn’t want my muffin top showing and I think it’s perfect.

This hoodie is my absolute favorite!! suigintou is right, they are form fitting, so it will depend on how you want it to fit. It is also a thinner material so don’t expect heavy sweatshirt material. It looks like you and I are approximately the same size. I am 5’1″ 150lbs, 36D, 32″ waist, 39″ hips. I bought the large and it’s perfect. Not so tight that there are unsightly bulges, but form fitting enough to still be sexy. I’ve also washed it and it hasn’t shrunk much if at all. I love my hoodie!!!

Just so you know, you can also just buy the 45mm pieces from xpole. I sold my original 50mm to get the 45mm and when I called them to order, the rep told me that they also sell just the A & B poles, extensions, and the adapter for the 45mm. Basically I spent time looking for a buyer and delivering it, took a loss on it and the extra I had to pay for the new pole was just a little bit less than if I had just bought the additional poles outright. And I would have had both poles to interchange. Which ironically enough, after I bought the new 45mm, I found I didn’t like it as much and ended up ordering just the poles for the 50mm 🙁 So make sure you like the 45mm.

I just took a class last week and I found it to be extremely challenging. The room is 105 degrees and the class is 90 min long! You are drenched 15 min into the class so if you like being sweaty then you will probably enjoy the class. What I liked the least were the moments I felt like I couldn’t breathe, especially when I had to lay on my stomach. I am going to try it a couple more times and see if I enjoy it more. Definitely sit by the door, wear as little as possible, bring a towel, bottle of water, and DON’T close your eyes. This supposedly makes you nauseous. I was nauseous and I was told this was one of the causes.

Thanks chemgoddess. He is awesome!

I saw this video on how to make your own crash mat about a year ago…

I think they use two crib mattresses. I wanted to make this when I first saw it, but I only have one mattress. I always meant to find another one, but never got the chance,

I think this is the video you're talking about. I saw this on Veena a few months ago. His name is Volch(?). He's "ayoungwolf" on youtube. He does an awesome tutorial on the full moon trick.

@polefairy – you can do a search on YouTube under ipdfc 2009 Sarah Cretul.
Also LOVE Shadow too. IMO, she’s the best spinner out there.
Wish these ladies would tour and do workshops.

So this is my absolute favorite video of Sarah Cretul. actually, it's THE favorite video of mine 😀 It's her entry for the IPDFC 2009 competition on Tokyo.

check out move 0.55-1.00sec. She makes the twisted grip look so effortless!!! It's like she has invisible strings on her legs that are pulling her upwards. Amazing!!!!

OMG! It’s so funny that you just posted this!!! I was just doing a search on her, literally 5 minutes ago! She is one of my favorite polers and I was hoping she put something new up. But I didn’t find anything. Thanks so much for sharing. It’s good to see that she is still poling.

Well, as you said at least she was honest about it. She could've easily been a sneak about it and just came in to take classes until you caught her. But you are not wrong. Purely from a business standpoint, you cannot allow a competitive business to potentially come in and steal your business which is basically what she would be doing. As a certified instructor, she should be professional enough to realize that she should contact you in advance to see if you have a policy concerning teachers from other studios/gyms coming in to take your class. It's the professional and ethical thing to do in my opinion. Since her gym is so close, it would not be wrong of you to say, I'm sorry but we have a policy that does not allow other instructors to take our classes since we have original choreography that is exclusive to our studio.

It’s more near the armpit area and it’s not super tight. You tuck really tight and lean back and try to look back as far as you can. Watch veena’s video and it will seem more clear.
-
Sorry, I hit save by mistake 🙁
(1) keep your grip lower, about chin level or just above the shoulder. I used to grip too high and therefore needed more strength to pull myself up. (2) Make sure your hips are in front of the pole when you step forward.
Basically, when you grip your pole and step forward, you are going to kind of tuck the pole into your arm and side. I think there’s a little contact with the pole and my armpit area as this keep me from sliding down when I tuck. And when you tuck use a little momentum (no kicking!), just tuck really hard and lean back as you do it. Watch Veena’s video on this again and look for these points. She mentions it, but I never really noticed it until I finally realized what I was doing wrong. -
I still struggle with my consistency on this move but I find I nail it often if I keep in mind these two points. (1) keep your grip lower, about chin level or just above the shoulder. I used to grip too

I had the same problem with my pole sit – too much flailing around. What did the trick for me was switching hands to see which was more comfortable and as someone suggested, point your toes upward. So you’re in your pole sit, extend your legs toward, then lean back and point your toes and legs upward toward the ceiling. This puts you in a better postiton. When you’re comfortable, just bring your knees back towards your head, you don’t need to extend your legs. And if you feel solid, you can try extending your legs.

I work less than a block away and can pop out for a bit. Are we wearing Veena shirts 😀 ?

Ikea! I bought mine over a year ago for $99, so I don’t know if they still have that model. But there is one on the site now called the Hemnes and it’s approx 65″ X 30″ and $99. It’s a big full length mirror.

Oh so sorry for the late reply. I think Paypal would be the best method.

The whole set is available, but shipping has to be pretty expensive for a 55 lb box. I checked on the Fed Ex website and using their calculator, it will be approximately $65 to deliver it by ground transportation. I don’t know if that includes any kind of insurance.
