Do this with bent legs (frog stretch) you can increase the stretch by pushing ur bum towards your feet keep chest on floor, do butterfly and push ur knees to the floor and lean forward.and you can do the 1st stretch with feet together. Also make sure your legs are really warm and you can lie on your back after fo scissors leg lifts. It’s a slow progress and some people want do this at all. Another thing is a real straddle stretch is with knees to ceiling and bringing belly to floor. Hope this helps 🙂 happy stretching

Make sure you are warm in your shoulders and back glutes and hip flexors. Do half bridges first. (Interlock hand behind back while lying down back and push into shoulders and feet and squeeze shoulder blades together. Squeezing shoulder blades together is a good exercise and also some people have problems and there pectoral or chest is too tight. Make sure to stretch them all and find where you are tight. You may be flexible but not have active flexibility(strength flexibility) and the rotation in the shoulders is a big thing too. Make sure your position is correct. I can post pictures of other stretches you can do to assist your stretching. If you already have the flexibility beginner back bending is good for the strength element. (literally standing and bending back with hands above head, gently) 🙂

I have the dvd… not mad about it! I dont think its long enough, not enough warm up and she doesn’t repeat or stay in the position long enough so I found myself pausing a lot. Nothing I haven’t seen before although she does a stretch for hamstring with the block which is nice. She also focuses on pnf stretching which is great. For beginners, I would most definitely recommend this dvd… advanced stretchers I wouldn’t bother! She is also releasing another dvd, it must be more advanced! ^_^

I heard before that 95% of women and 5% of men have cellulite! Another unfair statistic. Haha! So your definitely not alone.. Cellulite is also cause by lack of circulation, you will notice the less exercise people do the more cellulite they have, pole will certaibly help and if you start off easy
with 10 squats a day and 10 lunges on each leg – no weights (make sure your form is correct) I am 100 percent that your cellulite will disappear and you will have fantastic legs and ass! I am a firm believer eating clean helps any problem you have with the body! I had cellulite but im fairly sure I dont have any now! I am skinny but I think my upper thighs are not in proportion at all, But its so funny what you notice about your body, my pole friends think I am mad! And love your body, its capable of a lot, and you just had a baby! Yay!!!

Also every workshop is different so dont think you will be “prepared” for panteras ws by doing sarah scotts. Workshops get their atmosphere from the students so make sure u have fun!
They normally cover what you want to so just have an idea of what you really need help with, transitions, combo, handspring, handspring prep if you arent wotking on it! 🙂 and make sue to read workshop description 🙂

Pantera is amazing I took my first ws with her and it was so great. Sarah scott is also amazing she really cares! And I would most definitely say her technique is amazing and she is a great teacher!!! The two of them I would rank as the best workshops I did. And I have done a lot of workshops! I dont know if you’ve taken many workshops but some, even the most amazing performer, are shit teachers and are just doing it for the money! I cant speak for the other two but I have had workshops with the top and they were terrible! I myself am hoping to do pantera and sarah scott again this year along with karol helms!

    🙂
Hope I helped! If you just do these two you will definitely be happy!!!

Mine is solais – pronounced (sul – us) ). It means sun in irish… it is quite meaningful i think. You can take a word animal thing or feeling you connect with and translate it to a language you know or like. 🙂

That is great advice!! Really good ideas… I am going to make a routine to record as I have never done it before… another good idea for that is play out an animal or even a character from a musical or film instead of an emotion! You sound like youll be good at this already and you havint even started yet… have fun at your first class … your gonna be hooked 🙂

Possibilties are pretty endless whe you use your imagination Ill post my video here when I do eventually get around to recording it!

So many things for me to do now and so little time combos routines, unmastered tricks and new tricks… I think I need a crash mat by the sound of all of this! haha

Thanks ladies keep that advice coming… Coz I think this happens everyone!

I love spinny never did static till about a month ago! I dont know what kind of level you are but since the weight is primarily on your top hand I would practice doing one handed spins also great for conditioning and strength building… and eventually go into a reverse spin from a one handed chair and to a one handed chair… you can also do one handed firemand, hooks etc to start off and build up to a chair … momentum is very important with the reverse grab spin too! I learned it from dirdy birdy when I did it… search reverse grab tutorial on youtube Id say it is still there… her tutorials are good  there isnt too many of them though… you should even save for veenas lessons there great! I am going to get them soon 🙂 Good luck 🙂

I dont have much of a choice with dance classes and or pole classes in the area I live, they are all too far away!

I have looked into ballet classes – which I may have to pay for privately because of the lack of sooo many cool things here haha… but I always wanted to do ballet so I think that may get me unstuck! I went to pole at home the other day and I actually had no motivation whatsoever! So I am going to try some dancing without going on the pole at all! It will help for freestyle and routines and switch it up a bit! I think I am in a bit of a rut because I always do the same training! And I teach alot of beginner classes and quite frankly… I get bored!

Thank you all for you advice! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_elephant.gif
