This does not sound like the Yoga Direct company I got my mat from through Amazon. I had mine within a week. Sorry you are having trouble. Maybe you can post the link so people can be sure not to order from these shisters!
They used more sites on fb. The direct one what they used is deleted after today. I just got a crash mat from yoga accessories.com. I arrived today and I ordered it 1week ago. I had a good painless experience with them. The mat diameter is 5 ft which provides good coverage. I am not inverting yet so I haven't tried it. It looks well made. Btw free shipping too! Ill post a pic of it on my wall to see it.
