Xpole Titanium Gold VS lil Mynx Powder Coat

Hi everyone. I really need some help from all the xpert here. Has anyone personally tried both xpole TG and lil mynx color? I'm so tired of my xpole chrome now. it is too slippery. I've had it for about 8 months and I can't practice a new move at all. I'd love to find the new pole that has better grip for my advance moves. I heard lil mynx color is so grippy and hard to do spinning but also heard Titanium Gold is too slippery when it suppose to be grippy. I'm confused now. If anyone has experience on both of them and could help me get the pole of my dream I'd really appreciate that. ps. I'd really love this new pole stat to be about grippy 7 out of 10 (3 of 10 is for slippery) am I being too specific? lol Thank you everyone. please help me :D

I have been on all sorts of materials but I also do not have problems with chrome. It really does come down to several factors. Are you slipping because you do not have enough strength, are you slipping because you are oily or sweaty or are you slipping just because you and chrome do not work well together? Do you ahve access to a studio to see if in fact it is the material and not just you needing to work on your grip. Do you have a 45 or 50? I used to have a LM pink pole. During the summer it was hell trying to do anything on it. During the winter just like all poles it would sweat and be slick. I think when I was sweaty it was even worse than any of the metal poles because it did not have pores. I have been on TG once and while it is grippy I know others who have slid right off it. I was not on it for extended periods of time, only one afternoon. Chrome is grippier to me, but like I said, my body reacts well to chrome. Can you explain what exactly is going on with you slipping? When is it happening? Are you taking lessons anywhere?

I'm so jealous that chrome works well with you. everytime i try to show off my friends with my xpole i slide right off. so embarrassing lol. yes I've been taking pole class too twice a week. I have no problem with all the chrome color poles at my studio. i love them. but i dont know whats wrong with my xpole at home it is so so slick. I even sanded it but still not helping. i'm in an advance class and only have less than 10 moves in veena's advance lesson left to nail. so i dont think the problem is my strength or experience. I live in LA by the way. i dont know if that matter. Somebody help!! lol

I just had my hubby sand off alot of the chrome off my pole. It was too slippery for me as well. He first sanded up and down which helped by grip, but yestarday I had him sand around the pole (not up and down) to give me more grip yet. Haven't tried it yet today, will let you know......

You say "chrome color poles." Are the poles at the studio stainless steel or are they chrome? Maybe you are meant to dance on stainless steel? Also, how long have you had your pole? Poles need to be conditioned, which takes a little while. They do get grippier with use, but you have to be patient. Studio poles are already conditioned cuz they are getting worked over constantly. I have a titanium x pole and while I have never danced on a powder coated pole, I have danced on stainless steel and brass. TG is okay for body grip, but if you are looking for hand grip, I think brass might be better. TG does give me some major pole burn on spins, but so can stainless steel when it is warm enough. I have come to a huge realization recently which is that body chemistry has a HUGE effect on what metal you stick to best, or if at all. I used to sweat like a boy, so I would struggle gripping any pole with my hands, but I could stick to stainless steel and my TG pole no problem. NOW, due to medications, I don't sweat at all, and therefore CANNOT stick to ANY pole with my body without grip aides, no matter the metal, not even my beautiful brass pole, although my hand grip is great. With that in mind, what works for one girl, might not work for you. Ask the studio you dance at what metal poles they are using. If it is chrome, keep your chrome x pole, and just keep conditioning it. You will eventually break it in. If it is STAINLESS STEEL, then you might want to think about getting a platinum stages or lilmynx pole. Stainless also will take conditioning to not be slick (because it WILL be slick at first, but it is a great metal for some women)

Podzhi one thing to keep in mind....when dancing on the studio poles you and your pole are probably nice an warmed up if your taking a class. If you try dancing on a cold pole you'll slip. A lot of home polers forget to warm up their bodies and their poles. So before you feel you need to invest in another pole make sure your nice and warmed up and the pole is too. This may not be the problem but I thought I would mention it. 🌸

U stick to everything lol I'm jealous. @Lyme Lyte, I sanded around the pole too. not up and down. now my pole looking so ugly lol. it is not shiny anymore. The feeling when I grip the pole is different but still not helping the grip much. please let me know how ur pole treating you :) i'm excited to hear. @sensualscimitar, I ask the studio about the poles. she's not sure but she thinks its the same material as chrome xpole. and I offered her to buy one of them and she just laughed. She thought i was joking but i was really not lol. I think I'm going to try TG and decide whether I should invest my money on it. @Veena, your concern is right on. Like everybody said I think I don't put enough time to warm up my body and my pole. first I'm a bit of a lazy. hahaha. secondly, my place is really really tight. I have to move my coffee table in order to set up the pole in the living room. So I can't really do much dancing and spinning around the pole at all because I could break something. That's why Im just thinking to get some of the pole thats grippy and good for doing trick and climb on. It doesn't need much room and also there's nothing for me to break in the air lol. So today I'll drive up to the xpole office (which is 10 mins drive from my home) and try the titanium gold. I'll let anyone know how it goes. wish me luck. I'm gonna need it :D

Mine isnt as shiney, but oh so much more grippier. Dont worry about the way it looks.....i remember so good dancer on here who also sanded down her pole that not ONE time has anyone said, "boy your pole sure is shiney"! Which is so true.....when you pole people are watching YOU, not how shiney your pole is. Now, if I ever splurrged for a Gold or brass pole I wouldnt sand. But I DO love the grip much better....better than my lil mynx now! :)

I'm confused. The studio should know what poles they have. If they are x poles and silver then they would be chrome for sure. But if they ordered them from a different company then they would be a different material, so the bigger question is, where did they get their poles.? The studio should know where they got their poles. Are there any other studios in a radius from you that has stainless steel or brass poles you could try? If you could test out al the metals, that is ideal. X pole is in hollywood. This place ihas a hollywood location, and on their website they have a PS stage. I don't know how far you are from Pomona, CA, but LizzyLiz810 has a studio in Pomona, ans she has both stainless steel and brass poles in her studio. If you can make it out to Pomona, yu should run by her studio and play on her poles! http://www.beautyinmotionfitness.com/
