Xpole rotated joints!

So, i know everyone has been having problems with the new xpole and the rotated joints. When i first got my xpole it had the same problem and when i called xpole they were very nice and sent me a new joint and A pole and B pole immediately. HOWEVER, i have bought more than one pole and the girls in my studio all bought the xpole. EVERYONE including my studio owner has had rotated joints! Last weekend we were all at my friends house practicing on hers and all of a sudden it just fell over! SO DANGEROUS! and when we looked the top xjoint literally fell through to the bottom. When we called xpole to ask about the dropped joint and how come everyone of our poles have rotated joints, the customer service was not the same. IN FACT, the lady goes on to lecture us that our joints rotated bc we were not setting up the pole right and for her to get new pieces for her pole she would have to pay. They just kept telling us to bang it out with a broom handle. We've tried but it just doesn't budge. my question is WHY DO I HAVE TO DO THAT? SHOULDNT XPOLE BE MORE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PRODUCT? has everyone i know and heard of on this site been installing their pole wrong? i think not. obviously the product is flawed. The lady on the phone goes on to continue reprimanding us saying that the pole needs to be taken up and down EVERYDAY. and we have to tighten the screws EVERYDAY. whats the point of having a portable pole if i cant take it up and down as i please? isn't xpole suppose to be an "industry porfessional best" pole??? I shouldn't have this problem paying the prices i did for these poles. Sorry just ranted bc I was really unhappy with the way the customer service responded to our complaints. I shouldnt have to get a broom handle to bang out something. IT SHOULD WORK! or they need to fix it!! its obvious a problem in the design and they know that. but now that a majority of their poles have this problem, they dont wanna help fix it obviously bc of costs. WHAT…

I think I posted this somewhere before, but I bought a new Xpole off ebay for about 150 dollars. My friend got one too. Although I believe these are reproductions/fakes, neither of us have had one bad experience with them (once we figured out how to set them up. Actually I am thinking about buying another one so I can invite friends to pole. I will be buying another fake. Sounds like they are higher quality than the real things (and less than half the price)!

According to the head of sales (whom I spoke to today) they fixed the joint problems in April. I bought my pole in January, so I was definately having issues with the poopey joints. Has anyone had problems with the new joints?

Let me again state my situation: Fact: My joints seldom rotate...the only rotate when I'm in a rush taking all 7 of them down and setting back up for a special event. When I take my time and pay attention to putting them together I don't have problems. Fact: NONE of my students have had problems with their xjoints rotating except those who admit they rushed through it and didn't check it. I only said it was overstated to insist that "everyone" is having problems...obviously not every is if I, my students and others on this forum are not having the problem. I never blamed anyone else for user error....I never used those terms nor even insinuated it in any way. I simply stated my experience. And let me explain my way of doing things...I would never ask someone to sponsor one of my events if I didn't ALREADY believe and trust in their product and service...which is why PS is not sponsoring anything I do but at least two other pole companies are. I have never said that the XJoint is perfect or without problems - please do not misquote me. However I do not feel that the ineherent problems in trying to develop a problem free removeable pole (I KNOW I've said this earlier) are unavoidable and minimual compared to problems I've had with customer service and quality control with other companies. Every experience I and everyone I personally know has had with XPole has been great.

ok, wading in here... I've only had a few problems with my old school x-poles in my studio and those have been from the threads sticking, which is common with titanium (I married an engineer who advised) and putting them on stages that cause bounce. I've not had a joint slip out as such and have always had aweseom service from X-Pole. But that's my experience and can't be the norm. The C-cup pull apart tools work a treat for the stuck threads and we're about to put bearing grease on the threads to help them. again, it's sticky, but won't seep, so no grip issues. YAY! Some stages flex, causing poles to slip. So, I learned to check, check and check again. It's just common sense. Also, if a pole is used lots, then it will need more checking. Sure, there will be some people who will let down a brand; it's going to happen anywhere and at any time. I've had no issues with the old school x-poles I have and have found the company awesome to deal with at all points. Although, I live in a small country and have always emailed Head Office with problems. Hope this helps. It's not good that some customer service people have let down a really good brand. ARGH my x pole did this I had taken it down for a check over and the one x joint falls through unless it's reeeeaaaallllly tight and now it rotates one way but not the other then it stopped rotating completely and is now not lined up, I told x pole what happened and they sent me a new x joint IN THE WORNG SIZE! So so so annoyed!

So after reading all this, I took my pole down last night to inspect it and to my horror, found that the top extension (the small standard one to fit a regular sized ceiling) has started to flare out from the joint. Shattered :-(

Just remembered that resonable weight is fine on x-poles. We've had All Blacks swinging and inverting on ours, with no problems. These boys are 100kg plus of solid muscle and national icons, so I wasn't alloed to hurt them as it was for telly. The pole didn't come down or have any problems. I also have students of that mass using them with no issues. If you're having really big issues, try emailing x-pole UK. They've always been realy helpful.
