Which pole to choose for a beginner?

Hey everyone!!! Ok, so I'm new to poling and I'm looking to purchase my first pole. I know I want an X-pole, but I'm not sure of which one, the 40mm or the 45mm, would be best for me. I'm 5'1, pretty short...I do have small hands, so im small person overall. At first, I was set on getting the 45mm, but I found someone selling there 40mm xpert on craigslist for a pretty good deal. So I'm not sure which one I should start out with. Has anyone used both and feel like one is better than the other? Are there any hand measurements I can take to figure out which would be best for me? Just curious n I don't want the 40mm to be too small to where I feel weird on it. Im open to all advice, suggestions, and tips. Thank you in advance!

@echo234 the pics are fine! U make me want the 45mm now because ur hand looks like it fits comfortably around the pole n I have small hands as well! I was a little worried about my hands gripping around the pole, but not anymore. Thank you...very helpful:-)

aww thanks. It feels good to be a part of your excitement. I know with me when I decided I wanted it, I wanted it right now!!! Then it was out of stock 🙁 I could have chosen a 40 at that point but i wanted the 45 cuz I've heard it's most commonly used in competions. I'm glad I waited I'm extremely happy with my choice.

No prob! I am excited😀 I want my pole now too! I can't wait to start practicing! N yeah, i think the 45mm will be a good starting point for me. Then that way if i decide to get another pole, I can choose to either go up or down. I'm glad you're happy with your choice tho because that made my decision a little bit easier:-)

Veena, you don't offer international shipping of x-poles by any chance?
