USPDF Hotel Arrangments...where are you staying?

Still hoping to come but will be staying at the broadway hotel that's less than a half mile away from central park and the theatre where the comp will be held. Will anyone else be near this area? cream-- central park stretches about 50 blocks high and 5 blocks wide right in the middle of manhattan... so being half a mile away doesn't mean all that much 🙁 . what is the address? staying near laguardia or bklyn would be okay, but then you'd be going 45 mins each way (or $40 cab) to go back there whenever you want to change, shower, drop off stuff etc.... i would personally recommend against it. hi amyxshi, yeah central park is huge ... the address: 230 W 101st St New York, NY 10025 United States of America ok, that's only a few blocks from my apartment and within walking distance (6 blocks- 5 minutes) of symphony space! your'e also very close to the 1/2/3 subway line which will take you to NYPD. i would say it is in a good location, it's definitely a safe neighborhood too. i looked at the website quickly and it seems like a good deal! just keep it mind it seems more like a hostel than a 3-or 4-star hotel, one of the pics of a private room had a ceiling fan in the shower 😀

I just checked the w room rates and it's like $300 a night there. Is that the rate you ladies are paying or did I not search properly? I found some other cheaper rooms but I don;t know the difference from the lower upper east west side. I've never been to New York before and I don't want to end up all far away but I don't want to pay over $600 for my room either... sissy, the rooms are about $300 a night there... if you are looking for something cheaper, and have a couple in mind, i wouldn't mind telling you which one would be best location-wise... you can also use googlemaps or hopstop.com to enter in the location of the hotel and the competition/workshop locations to see how long it would take on the subway, or how much a cab would cost in between. Thanks Amy. I'll have my car and although I do not want to drive in New York, I could if I had to. I'm gonna look up some places and ask you about them. It's so nice to have a local involved. LOL no problem! btw you definitely DONT WANT TO DRIVE-- you will tear your hair out looking for parking, will probably get at least one ticket (parking rules and regulations are tough even for native NYers--- you will often have to walk halfway down the block to make sure there isn't some kind of sign somewhere) and you will probably spend a good amount of money at a parking garage (where rates are upwards of $10 an hour at the prime locations)!!

Oh and I see the pic you mentioned 😂 I think that is actually a reflection off the glass of the shower. And it is a hotel and hostel. But I was thinking of the private room and private bath. I am still keeping my eye out and trying to decide because I am not sure what my hubby will do while I go to the comp because I wasn't sure if men are allowed and if he would be the only man there LOL He is supportive thank God LOL

I've only been there once, and it was scary just watching the traffic. 😲 And yes, the hotels are expensive... that's why I started the Travel Buddies thread, so people (including me) could find people to stay with and help split costs. Maybe there are still some people looking for roommates?? 🤔

Here's some other's I found but I have not ever stayed there so not sure the pics look nice and prices seems reasonable Brownstone Bed and Breakfast In New York's Upper West Side near Central Park 110 West 81st Street Manhattan, NY 10024 United States of America Days Hotel Broadway 215 W 94th St New York, NY 10025 United States of America

I almost decided to drive to NYC, but I ended up buying bus tickets. I'm just over 3 hours away from the city, and round-trip tickets were $80 through Greyhound. Pretty good deal considering I'd be paying at least $60 in gas just to drive there and back, plus the hassle of finding parking... and I was planning on taking cabs in the city itself anyway because I don't dare drive. Cream - look under the Travel Buddies thread - TrophyWife and Poledancevienna are looking for roommates if you're interested in sharing a room with someone to split costs.
Looks like I'm going to be at the Days Inn, it's like 0.1 miles from the theatre...or so mapquest says. LOL
yeah Sis, that's where me and Ines(poledancevienna) are too, its 18 minutes from B&P, 7 minutes from NYPD and less than a minute from the theater, all for like $120 a night, cant beat that!

I am staying at Days Hotel Broadway 215 W 94th St New York, NY 10025 and too pooped I miss it by a day of trying to get my money into the bank for the pros but i will get to see the amateurs still the pro comp is sold out... does anyone know if there is somewhere else to get pro tix? 😢
