OK...so heartfelt congratulations to Michelle Stanek for taking first place and to Alethea for taking second place. But does anyone know why they are not "naming" third place? Obviously someone came in third and since it's traditional to name the third place I wonder why they did not? I hope the finalists get to find out where they placed?

What is the scoop on the performances? Can't wait to hear more details since I know it will be a while before video will be available. I'm stalking youtube for bootlegs anyways. :)
Congratulations to everyone! Kira, that's great about Karol coming in third...she seemed surprised to hear it! Yes, I'd love to know about video but we don't see anything official from USPDF for a while, right? Or will there be a DVD or something?
Ooh I hope those ladies at least post their dress rehearsal-y vids! I love Michelle's stuff especially:)
USPDF generally does not post video and will remove any and all video that they find on youtube. You may see someone who snuck a camera in to the event but once a link is posted it is generally gone within a day or so. Karol stated that she will be performing the same routine at Miss Texas and will post video after that performance. She had a pic up on FB of the shoes she wore....yeah, um....😲

In the past they stated it was because of music licensing. This has always been the case with USPDF, unless this year they changed it? This was from last year: Tickets are now available for USPDF Championship 2011. US Pole Dance Championship 2011 will be held at Symphony Space in NYC on Friday, Apr 29. The USPDF Amateur division will be held at 1:00PM, and the USPDF Pro division will be held at 7:30PM. Tickets can be purchased through Symphony Space starting Jan 23. Tickets for the shows are sold separately. General Admission only for the 1:00PM show. Reserved Seating for the 7:30PM show. Video and audio recordings are not allowed in the theater. All finalists will be posted on the website under ‘competitions’ or by clicking here. USPDF workshops will also be held Thurs, Apr 28 through Sun, May 1, in association with the US Pole Dance Championship

I found her video via Facebook. The uspdf fan page shared a link of photos from gothamist.com. At the very bottom of the photos was Michelles performance. Since uspdf shared the link, I doubt they'll have it removed. It's a wonderful performance! She's a beautiful dancer!

However she is not wearing the same outfit in this video nor performing to "She Drives Me Crazy so I do not think this is her routine from this year. The video on the gothamist is her performance from pole art in 2011. Uspdf videos usually aren't released until a few months later. My black Sean routine was only posted to the Uspdf page about a month or so ago!

This past year was the very first time that USPDF released any videos and they only released a small few. I really wish that they would follow the rest of the competitions and allow taping. I would like to see all performances, not just the top 3. And I do not think I have seen any of the amateur ever.
