I'm about to order a 45 mm X-pole my 50 mm PS is just way to slippery! What is your opinion on the TG for sweaty palm people vs chrome? WIll TG make it hard to spin?

Heya :) I have a 50mm TG xpert and it's great! a bit better than the chrome was for me. Happy Poling!
the tg was better for me that chrome. i felt the chrome was too slippery for me.
btw, my 1st pole was a 45 ps chrome and now i have a 45 tg xpole, if that helps.
I have a chrome PS 50mm pole I find to take a lot longer to warm up than a 50mm chrome Xpole. I'm a chromie fan though, so I haven't tried a TG one.
Does the TG interfere with doing spins?
no, not in my opinion. i spin fine on both. it was a confidence thing for me. once i got over myself i did fine on both.

Platinum stages does not have a chrome finish pole....their silver pole is Stainless steel...for some dancers SS is really slippery (like myself) HATE SS. I have both Chrome and TG finish and they are pretty comparable once the pole is warm TG is still has a bit more grip for me anyway. I notice the TG has better grip right from the start though. I don't think Titanium is great for beginning dancers, because it is so grippy you'll get calluses really fast. New dancers already tend to over grip the pole so it can be frustrating to learn new spins on a grippy pole.

I have an xpole 50mm in chrome. It takes a bit of time to warm up but I love chrome, this coming from the woman who had danced on nothing but brass for years! It really depends on your body chemistry. Veena brings up a good point about newbies and over gripping. I know I did in the begining and I was all types of calloused up!
I was positive that in X-Pole Titanium was the was to go till I tried both Chrome and TG, side by side. Strangely when both poles get warm and I get sweaty in my palms, I slip when using TG. The one issue I wish I had spent some more time on before purchasing was diameter size. The first time I tried a split grip, the immediate thought was 45mm not 50mm. Personally I figure one's preference will change as experience grows yet having a personal pole to work at home seemed more important to me than waiting. Nothing wrong with reselling and trading up to something new later down the road when the proper fit becomes apparent.

That's a little like my experience. I learned on chrome, but when it came to buying my own, I wanted more grip so I went with titanium. I found that I did definitely stick more with TG, but my body...not my hands. My hands seemed slipperier...anyone else have the same experience?
Oh geez! I don't want my hands to slip more! That's my problem! Anyone else with sweaty palms have an issue with TG?

I have a 50mm TG xpert as well, and some really sweaty hands... Since grip aids don't really seem to help me for the first hour or so, I use weight lifting gloves during that time.. I take them off when the pole and my body have warmed up sufficiently and after that I seem to be able to grip just fine and my hands aren't as sweaty. (I only discovered this a couple of days ago...) But this is coming from someone who has never even touched a chrome or ss pole, so... 😉
I have a 45mm TG and dance at a studio with 45 and 50mm chrome poles. Although I was hoping for more grip in the titanium, the materials both feel just the same to me! The biggest difference to me is in diameter. The smaller poles make me feel much more secure in hand grips.
