My friend has a homemade pole that was sprayed with Laquer and the grip is amazing!!! I am able to do most tricks on her pole. However, when on my pole it is not sticky enough even though I have the mighty grip. Should I spray Laquer on my new chrome x-pole?

From experience laquer will come off on your clothes, on your hands, on pretty much everything! There are some here that have had their xpoles powder coated but I will also warn that it is easier to add grip (grip aids, mighty grip gloves) than it is to take it away!

you shouldnt do that ... when you ll get on a regular pole after it will be harder for you (i think) an homemade pole that has no grip and not the right finish maybe, but dont ruin your x pole ! :P
I'd say clean your new x-pole with vodka, or everclear or vinegar&water mix. You'll notice how grippy it is after it's been cleaned like that. Granted like Chem mentioned, some of us ladies have had our poles powder coated. I had mine done in march, there's pix on my page. Also like it was said, it's easier to add more grip than start out with too much and not be able to take away. There is this stuff you can try called corn huskers lotion, and it will help give good grip for some people. You should be able to find it at Walmart, Target and places like that or get it from amazon.com.

I wouldn't do that. Firt you should try corn huskers lotion,. If that doesn't work, then dew poine pole, and if that doesn't work, then you could look into powder coating your pole. I am one example of having a pole that is too sticky and there is no way for me to remedy that.
I love the very first forum I joined <3 You ladies are awesome. I have tried using lots of mighty grip, cleaning with vinegar and alcohol constantly. I will look into dewpoint and corn huskers lotion if those dont work for me, I guess Ill invest in powder coating my pole. HOW MUCH IS IT TO GET IT POWDER COATED AND WOULD I BE ABLE TO DIY myself?
It cost $60.00 in my area to powder coat my pole. Going to bring mine in one of these days. And NO you can't powder coat them yourself. Another great grip aid is Crames Firm Hold Spray. Not many people here know about it, but those that do use it LOVE IT!
