Removed pole, damaged carpet?

Ive been renting a place and finally took down my pole to see how the ceiling and carpet were doing AND well the popcorn ceiling was alright, left sorta a dark ring that I was able to mostly wash off. As for the carpet it left a pretty big indent!! :O Is there anyway to avoid this from happening? Will it puff out on its on? I decided to leave my pole down for abit to see... any suggestions?

The fibers are just crushed down. I would take a fork and "rake" across the indentation.

All you need to do is get some water in a spray bottle, spray the area that is smashed down and fluff it up with a comb 😀 It may take a few times to fluff it back up, but it's always worked well for me.

yup... I've had mine up and shifted it a few months ago. The indentation was deep.. so I just left it... its fluffed back up on its own - eventually. :) Its been in its new spot longer that the last, so I'll have to try these techniques before I give the house back to landlord!!!

Awesome tips, I also just moved my xpole and the indentation was really ugly on the carpet.

SO, I pretty much had to try all three and all three seemed to help. ALOT :D There is still somewhat of a noticeable indent, but its almost gone! Thanks again ladies. :)

Vaxing the carpet can help too (you can rent the carpet shampoo/Hoover thingies). I would do that before leaving the property just to finish it off.

water is your friend! Ice cubes around the edges, let them melt, then fluff...it will come back easy peasy! Summer

I always put a thin damp rag over it, then put my iron over that. The steam loosens it right up. Just don't set it too high or you risk burning the carpet. This works crazy fast.
