Pole Installation Question- Xpole with Lil Mynx Mount

So I have to pick up my new 45mm TG X-pole from the Fedex office. I currently have a Lil Mynx which I will be taking down but I'll leave in the ceiling mount. This may be a really dumb question, but can I just put the X-pole up right over the existing ceiling mount? I know that's where the stud is. Anyone tried it?
