Hey yall! Ive never been to any conventions, workshops, or shows. i wanted to see if there were any coming up in the near future in the austin, tx area. i tired to google it, but nothing came up. there was a competition, but it was from last year.

Have you been to the Brass Ovaries Pole Dance Studio website? http://brass-ovaries.com Best pole studio in Texas. I'm a member. I drive from Ft Hood area to Austin for their classes. Lots of pole celebs hold workshops. Right after the Girl Next Door pole show in March (4 of our girls are performing), Brass Ovaries is hosting some workshops by some of the professional performers, then Alethea Austin is coming in the Spring.& I think Cleo the Hurricane. We've had Alethea, Natasha Wang, Bad Azz Josiah Grant, David Owen, Pantera Blacksmith, Felix Cane, etc, & most recently, Estee Zakar & Yvonne Kelley. Miss Texas Pole Star (this Oct 5 & 6 in Dallas) is an Amazing competition! I went last year, and one of our instructors, Brynn Route, is the reigning Miss Texas Pole Star Champion & our Lindsey won the Miss Fitness category. You should definitely check the studio out. Workshops & classes are listed on tabs on their website :)

I'm "beginner-ish", and Alethea's sexy flow workshop last year was the coolest thing ever! Her little sister, Ariel, teaches the choreography & stretching/flexibility training classes I go to in Austin :) That is a talented gene pool there!!!
I had the pleasure of visiting Soft Sensuous Moves in San Antonio, IntimateSpins on here is an instructor there (and also a former Ms Texas Pole and Ms Pole Star!) and I know their studio does workshops and such too. They just had FiyaStarta from Vertical Joe's Atlanta, sooo jealous! Youtube them both! And I will be in San Antonio from Mar 3 - Mar 9 if anyone wants to meet for a pole jam!
@Spinderella---is Ariel teaching in Austin all the time? I have been contemplating taking some classes there...I just wish I was a little closer. @mrscdaly--sorry for hijacking your thread
Yes! Wednesday nights, Ariel teaches stretch & flexibility 7-8pm, then choreography from 8-9:30pm. Our choreo class starts w dance conditioning prior to learning a short routine & usually ends with a little Twerk & booty pop session. So fun! Yes, srry for hijacking the thread! You know us pole girls get excited!
Aerial Amy will be in SA July 21 at Soft Senuous Moves-info will be on the website shortly. They're still making final arrangements I think.
