Ahhh so my pole is stuck together :( We tried using the tools to put the counter pressure on it and then got a hammer out to try to wedge it apart but all that happened was that my rod tools got bent! Any ideas to help? I am about to try the ice/heat trick on it. I hope I can get it apart because we were gonna put it in our hotel room for this weekend!

If you can't get it unstuck, do you have a truck, suv, or pass-through into the trunck so you can bring it as one piece? Not sure what the front desk of the hotel would say.....maybe have someone sneek it into a back door then!
I had the same problem - stuck and bent the releasing tools while trying to un-stuck it. After many tries with the tools, me and my hubby tried this - we were wearing rubber gloves (dish washing gloves) and twisted the opposite way holding each section and finally got it unstuck. Good luck!
Same thing happpened to me after putting a new A piece on it... I called the tech support for it they said commonly ppl turn it the wrong way.
Diana I think you probably already got it but do you have the quick release tools? If not the chopsticks work okay for this too just not as well. So I take the heavy wrench from the tool kit, and give it one quick really solid BANG the direction it's supposed to turn. That one quick shock usually unsticks it so it can be turned. I have to shock mine apart every time on every joint. But I don't mind, I LOVE my original x-pole. I dig the new xpert poles but...those ones aren't my pole. :)
We got it with pipe wrenches!!! Had to call our handyman over but he got it unstuck right away :) hotel room jam YAY
I have never jamed before! Woo hoo!
