I've got the chance to do a pole photo shoot with Millie Robson but not sure whether to go for it or not - I'm not that advanced, or flexible as you'll have seen from my pics and videos. Does anyone have any beginner/intermediate/unflexy photo shoot pics that I could see to get an idea of what it would be like? Help!

I think you should do it! I did a photoshoot early on in my poling. I had very little I could do on the pole besides a sit and a couple of other little things. My favorite pictures were not even on the pole! Here's the thing- it doesn't matter where you are in pole. A picture is a moment in time, it will be something that you will have to look back on at the point that you are at. I wish so badly that I had pictures from when I was younger. I don't even really remember what I looked like or what my body was truly like in my 20's (that was before the age of smart phones and selfies and before I had kids). They will be beautiful! I will try to upload some of them later today!

How about looking through the Veena gallery for things you can do, then double checking the moves on Pinterest and google images for alternative angles, different lighting etc. It's amazing how something like an elbow stand leaning against pole looks quite different silhouetted, different again in heels, with one leg bent, or how a simple plank looks amazing with toes pointed hard, dead straight legs, chest lifted and head thrown back. Using a fan or wind machine or going black/white adds drama. Veena gallery https://www.studioveena.com/galleries Poses that you can hold in full extension, pointing toes, breathing normally, with lines that extend out to the sides/ corners of the pic tend to work better than ones you're struggling to hold and can't extend in.
Also think about angles - if you're not straight side on to the pole for example, some poses will have your arms or legs foreshortened, or even cut off your head! A photographer who knows the poses will watch for this but if you mount the pole at the wrong angle you will have to get off and start again! (On static) see this plank in which I am the headless pole dancer lol? If I'd been straight side on it would have worked!
For the record Tropi (can I call you Tropi? :P) I think you look lovely in the picture.

Missym I just saw them, they're really nice! Thanks everyone for your input and tips, all very helpful. I reckon I could do it, now I just have to figure out if I want to spend £99 on photos...will have to have a think about my finances!
Yes do it worth every penny. Millies pictures are amazing and the ones she did for Polesilks where stunning. Sue x

Missy, your photos from that photo shoot are beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Perfect example that we don't have to be able to do really advanced moves to take beautiful photos.
