Mighty Grip Ankle Protectors (grrrr)

I bought the tacky ones and they sure do help but I just noticed that the 'tack' is starting to tear and dangle from my main climbing foot 😈 I don't use them everytime, I've worn them maybe 3-4 times now. Does anyone else have these? How long did they last you? Come to think of it though, I did let my daughter wear them once and we do have a new daschund puppy thats always at her feet... so I'm not sure if this is 'normal' wear and tear or if this is a good product that we just let the dog get to. I don't see the usual bite marks that most of her victims have 🤔

I love my ankle grips! I wear them when I am training hard and want my feet to last through long hours as in multiple workshops or when I am doing a lot of work on a new climb. I take them of for everything else so that I son't "overstick" at the wrong time. My only problem is how hard it is to get them on and off. I have thought about getting a larger size but they feel good once they are on. I so hear stiches popping when I am pulling them on or off so I am not surprised that there could be a problem with the tack strips coming off. Is there any chance that the verticle stiching stripes you were thinking about could allow more give in the matrial so that it would also be a bit easier to put them on and off? That would make them perfect!

I love my ankle grips, but they did get worn down pretty fast, and the tack strips were coming off. I bought a new pair. I want to try the new pair that goes over shoes!!

to all the ladies that have responded a very big thank you and hugs all around. I have sent your comments on the manufacturer for his comments. He did ask if any one had an image of the damages as this would help him better understand the problem. Hi Joel. First let me say how great it is to see such great customer service! Second, I was just wondering if the "new and improved" product that is mentioned on your website has incorporated any of these stitching changes? And if it does, is there any way to tell if the ankle protectors sold at my local studio (in Canada) are the latest model?

Yes. Stiching has been strengthened. The newer anklets have an additional tack strip on the bottom of anklet which is under the arch of the foot. This makes for a better "push-up" on the pole without any slippage. Hope this information helps. Joel
