Lil Mynx with Slightly Over 10" ceilings?

I really want to buy a lil mynx (specifically tonight so I can cash in on their 10% off discount code!) but I finally got around to measuring my ceiling and it's 10 feet and 2 and a half inches tall. I know the poles only go up to 10 feet tall. Is it possible that I could put up a 2-3 inch block of wood on the ceiling under the joist and then mount the pole mount to that? Fast responses greatly appreciated!!!!

contact Randy and LM. You can do custom sizes. Ask if he can make one that height. If not, they also offer drop ceiling mounts that might work...

Randy sells a pole that goes 9-11 feet. Not sure if it's on the site or not but I have seen them in studios - it's the same design as the 8 foot one with the slider tube.

Yes, you can definitely mount it on a block of wood. I have the same pole (9-10 feet), but note there is only 9ft of usable pole.. so I would get the taller pole that charley suggested. I would have ordered a 10-11 ft model if I had known about it at the time. I think it's only $20 more.
