Day 1 The Cupid! 💘💘💘 Also known as Advanced Star. Tips: (Hug) the pole with the knee pit! Keep your hip and knee in line with each other or close to it. Make sure you haver really good grip with the knee pit and foot. For real....don't even bother trying if you don't have a nice tackiness to stick. Work on the Leg Hook Side Crunch before learning this pose. what is the trick you are doing in the XOXO photo? That is lovely!
It's just a jump while holding the pole 🥰
Climb and Hug 🤗 This is the perfect move to represent Pole hugs and Pole kisses! To avoid really bad pole kisses on the shin make sure the knees are up higher than the hips. Hug the pole with both elbow pits when first learning. There's a lesson for this if you'd like to learn more! https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5e7bd457-c30c-408e-99d3-2f8eac110005
Turn your invert straddle into a fun shape. Give the pole a little hug with the inside leg 💜 Reach the outside leg towards the floor!
Leg hug 🤗💜 No idea what the name of this trick is but it's a neat pose and a great way to transition into a split. This is a variation shown in the photo. If you're curious about the ins and out of this trick, check out my attempts to learn this! https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/5fe0fb31-5510-4512-9be8-7c10ac110005 Here's Monica kay's video who inspired me to try, as I'd never seen it before. https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/5fbf2e82-eb08-43a0-ab87-299cac110005
Hug a pole today! I've seen a lot of dancers refer to this move as beginner. However, this style of elbow grip is painful and not a easy as it looks to hold the body up. The smaller the diameter of the pole the more painful and difficult this pose is. Here's a lesson to give you some tips for elbow hangs. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5eb04404-29c0-429d-919b-2ed8ac110005
