Yes!!! We are having an acrobatic pole dancing extravaganza!!! Michelle Mynx's Academy of Pole Dance will be presenting the Third Annual Acrobatic Pole Dancing Extravaganza on September 24th and 25th!!! $10 cover charge will go to the Sexual Assault Victims Unit!!! Yay!!! It will be at the Foxhole, which inside Atomic Cowboy. (Manchester and Sarah, one block from Manchester and Vandeventer...South St. Louis). EVERYONE is invited. She MIGHT be selling tickets online, I'm not sure yet how that's gonna work, but everyone should come. The money goes to a great cause.... 🙂
The show sounds great! I will definitely be coming and I will have to bring some friends from my studio! 🥂

SHOW POSTPONED!!! I'll update you when I can, but we WILL NOT be performing on Sept 24 and 25.
Well dang. I was excited to go and already had a few friends who wanted to go too. Guess we will have to wait 🙂 I know your studio has a policy if only allowing members who take classes to go to your open pole times. Do they ever bend the rule on that by chance.. Would taking a workshop suffice?

They don't bend the rules, but she used to have Try It Out classes, where people can drop in and see how they like it. I know she stopped that for a while, but she may be starting it up again. 🙂 I;ll ask and let you know!!!! And I think the shwocase will be towards the end of October, so as soon as we get those dates, I'll pass it on!!
OMG! Ok, so this is VERY premature.. but.. I have an interview to teach beginners cardio dance and pole classes! Crossing my fingers and working on choreography (which is NOT my strong point..) but I'm SO excited! I'll keep you all posted!

It's official! I've been hired to be an instructor at The fitness studio / Fitchix St Louis! I teach my first 2 pole parties on sat!!! I'm sooo excited and I can't wait! Still have to go through training so I can have my own class, but I'm on my way!

Still have to go through training so I can have my own class, but I'm on my way! Congrats STLPoleDancer27 on getting hired at FitChix. How do you like working there? I have never attended any professional classes because I am about 40 miles west of Saint Louis City, where most of them are located and they are a bit costly. I was thinking about attending the Halloween Party at the one off Olive? are you going?
Thanks! I really love classes, and I'm excited to learn more! Unfortunately I will be out of town for the halloween party 🙁 and I really wanted to go! You definitely should head over there though! All the girls are sweet and friendly and I'm sure you will have a blast! There is also the pole dance extravaganza this weekend from the michelle minx academy, it is downtown at the atomic cowboy. If you'd want to go, let me know. Or if you ever want to have a pole jam, 40 min isn't too far.
Wow! Just reminiscing and bumping up this thread to see if there are any new polers from St Louis on SV now? I signed up for this site over 2 years ago, I can't believe how much I have learned and grown since then. I have met an amazing community of women, and I'm proud to have helped create a pole program in the St Louis area. It's incredible to see how pole has changed not only my life but many others around me. Much love to the SV community, and if you ever find yourself in the STL, get ahold of me!
And I thought I would also update that the 2012 FitChix halloween party is coming up on Oct 26th! I would love to see some new faces, please come join us for some fun!
