Hello from Ohio!

My name is Sasha and I am a newbie! I'm a licensed massage therapist looking for a new more exciting hobby that will incorporate two of my favorite activities: yoga/pilates and the art of dance. I'm hoping that poling will satisfy my quench for said activities. I just ordered my first xpole after weeks of research (this forum answered so many questions!) and I have never been so anxious! The first thing I'm going to do when I get that sucker set up is sign up for Veena's online lessons! Cannot wait! I'm so excited to get to know all of you! If you have any words of wisdom please come forth! Sasha

Welcome Sasha! There is a group of us "Ohioans" that tries to get together every few months (The Ohio Clan). There are a few in Cinci/Dayton, a few in Columbus and I am up in Cleveland. What parts are you from? Also, there is a get together planned for the beginning of February in C-Bus and also possibly the first weekend in March (for The Arnold). Welcome Welcome!! Oh, PS...we are a bit of a crazy group. Just felt the need to add that disclaimer!

Yay, another Ohio girl!! I still have yet to do Veena's lessons, but it is one of my New Year's plans; to make ME TIME on a daily basis (of course I picked pole for my "me time" 😀 ) and get some lessons from Ms. Veena!!! I got my pole (the X pert) without having had any lessons or experience and have spent my time thus far just learning and playing at home. I just thought it would be something I could really enjoy in terms of a workout, and it is that and so much more. With your yoga and pilates background, you have a great advantage for picking up and progressing quickly, IMO. That chica above me (Chemmie) is a good one to know 😉 She has all the info on where to take classes locally, knows every bar that has a pole, knows of any and every event involving a pole, keeps all us pole girls linked together and plan lots of pole outings. She's kinda the unofficial President of the Ohio pole club 😂 🫡

Chemgoddess: I am from Bowling Green which is about 30 minutes south of Toledo. Let me know when and where! I would love to meet you! Cleveland is just hop, skip, and a jump from me! Private lessons?! Momma: Veena's lessons are simply wonderful. It feels like she is right there with me. I love that she has them in a particular sequence because I don't feel like I am being pushed. It's such a great investment. Between yoga and her lessons I have never felt better! I hope to meet up with you talented ladies soon!

Oh and Chemgoddess: I've got crazy in me, too. I think that may be why we are drawn to poling...😉

Hey Polergirl! Thanks for the greeting! Hope to me all you C-bus girls in the near future! @catie- I grew up in Toledo! Willys Pkwy! Whereabouts are you? Maybe we can get together sometime. I could really use some motivation to learn new moves. I saw how you much you've progressed in only a few months! You're a natural! I'm still a little nervous about inverts but I have all my spins and sits down pat. Let me know what's up!
