Hi from Grande Prairie, Alberta. I am actually from Winnipeg Manitoba, but currently living here for school. I am so new to this that I havent even bought my pole yet. But I am so fricken excited. I miss dance, and this will be something i can finally do in my spare time. Im already thinking competitions, but I think I should get the pole first lol.

Count me in too! I will email you my cell number. I usually get home from work around 5:30. I could probably get there around 6:00 with traffic? I'm in the Hintonburg area if anyone needs a lift. As for everything else mentioned...I have a 45mm pole but am curious to see how I like the 50mm. I love cats...but my allergies just mean that I'll have to pop some pills beforehand and restrain myself from playing with them. Oh, and I have no idea what a pole-mate is. ;)
No worries amasou, the cats will be in my room for the practice. I will clean as much as I can you you feel better. A pole matt is like a gym matt to break your falls during difficult moves. I don't use them much, but they are very useful! Ok I will add your number to my cell and text you. Cheers!

@Pegasus Welcome! I assure you this will be the best workout you will have ever done! It never gets boring and there is always something new to learn! Thanks Akaneneko. Its kinda funny, just this morning I was looking at inspirational quotes to motivate my co-workers. And it was, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you will hit a star". So it made me smile to read ur reply. Thank you for all the positivity. I am gonna need it, its been too long since I have been activate at all. Unless shovelling food down my face counts lol
My absolute pleasure! I love this quote, it makes me want to always try harder. Even if I don't get it today, I'll get it eventually. Trust me...it took me half a year to get the handsprin... LOL Start little by little and soon enoguh you'll see the progress. The imoprtant thing is to not give up! And after a great workout, you deserve good food! ;) Cheers!

Hey! So many people from Ottawa-Gatineau, love it! I work at the museum of civilization and study at OttawaU. I'm also a newbie, I did level 1 and 2 at 3sixty studio and I'm trying to get stronger before doing level 3 and going upside down!

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I really enjoyed our previous session! It made me a bit more confident and daring, so the gemini/scorpio is back in my routine. I just ordered mighty grip and iTac2 so hoping they arrive soon, so I can work better on my cold pole. Is anyone in for another pole jam? I could host it here, but mind you.. The pole is in my basement (is finished so not spidery crawl space) and that room is pretty cool. So the pool isn't very sticky.. and not high at all. I'm not using any extension on it.. So 92" tall... which makes climps and inverts a bit trickier.. You just have to be creative to pull them off. But there's a lot of space around it. So swinging is no problem. If you have a better space in mind, I'm totally up for that! So who's in?

Count me in. I had a great time at the last one...really inspired me to see the more advanced moves. My schedule is a bit nuts lately, but if I can make it, I would love to join you girls. (p.s. I seem to have lost my email alerts for this thread...I will have to figure out why so I know when there's new posts....)

i am in Gatineau and always look for pole buddies ! My studio is closed for the summer but i have a pole in my living room 12 ft high if you want to play! xoxo
Hey SarahA I'm from Quebec but i do go in Ottawa once in a while to meet some pole friend, might be able to get to Missfit studio for a little pole jam at some point 😉

Hey I live in Gatineau and there's a pole in my appartment in my living room. There's space for one maybe 2 more poles if you'd like to bring yours :) However it would have to be later this month!
Wow, so much Pole love in Ottawa! I also live in Ottawa and am taking level 7 at Ottawa Pole Fitness. I reeeaallly want to make some pole friends. I have a toddler and a dog so my place isn't the best. Me and my X Pole will travel anywhere, evenings are best.
Hello ladies! Wow this is great! I'm happy to know there are others out there! I am definitely in for a next session. My place isn't the best but it's always open! How about we plan a session for mid-July? Anyone interested in lending their place for the practice? If we are no more than 6-7 girls it shouldn't be too bad. I used to train at Pole Fitness Montreal near Jean Talon metro. I now have my pole at home and trying to work out again after a 2 months hiatus.
is there a way we can start an Ottawa group on this site? Or should I start a Facebook group so we can organize pole jams?
Ok, I just tried to create a group but it won't let me create it unless I add friends from the get-go. But no one on my friends list does pole dancing! erm....hmmph.
