I'm not planning on driving so I was wondering if any of you have taken your pole, either checked baggage or carry on, on a plane? I'm assuming that checked baggage is the way to go b/c going through security with a bunch of metal tubes doesn't sound like fun. Maybe it would even be easier to just ship the dang thing. Any thought would be great :) Thanks

Sounds like a lot of work....unless your moving or something. What I when I travel, I post on SV and ask for any studios people may go to in the location you are traveling to. This is good, because you can visit so many other studios and meet a lot of new people.....really fun! Also, you may even be able to find a SV memeber who will you invite you over to their home for a pole jam, since many smaller towns don't have studios.
I would never trust the airlines with my pole...EVER. As checked baggage you are looking at $25-$35 each way. Shipping it would probably be cheaper if indeed you need to travel with it.
