You can count ********* and I in ! Really??? That's so sweet! I guess I better bring Shania! Yeah SissyBuns that would be cool. ********* was excited when I told her. It will be great to see the two girls pole together. Except that Shania doesn't do much poling LOL. She can do some basic spins but then she tried to climb once, said "Owww!" and never tried again LOL. My little ones on the other hands....they have skills. My 5 year son can invert, his chopper is pretty fantastic and his Reverse Grab is better then mine LOL. He even does this handed carasel chair thing...I should try to learn that.... 🤔

Ok heres the deal gang... The studio is already having their Christmas party on the 19th. However, Jessalynn says you are more than welcome to come to that 🙂 It just won't be a private jam for just us though. But at least it will already be food, booze, and decorations 😂 Also other options are I can reserve class spots in December when December gets here. She only reserves classes every 30 days. So if we all wanted to meet at the studio we can just pick class times and reserve them during that weekend. The class spots won't be as crowded as the party. But no telling how many people are showing up at the party as of yet. Could be few, could be alot I reckon. So what do you guys all want to do? Everyone take a look at the schedule: http://www.polepressure.com/BalanceGym.html# Keep in mind that the schedule may be subject to change but as of now I only see her adding classes, not taking any off but. What yall want to do? I say we book the Friday Chair Play class at 6:30 (which is hella fun!! OMG) the Friday Pole class directly after at 7:30pm. And if you want she says you can hang around for a short while after the 7:30pm class. (If we do, just between us, let's just make sure we compensate her w/ tips for her trouble 😛) If yall want to do any Saturday classes we can reserve those too. Then finish it off that Saturday night at the Christmas party! 🎅 If yall want to choose another weekend though that's fine too? If Az is gonna be here for a month then maybe yall can pick another weekend? I'm sure me and Az will be able to catch sissy and Angel during the month that she's here no problem, but we all need to decide when is the best time for Veena to come. But keep in mind that the next two weekends after the 19th are Christmas and New Years. So any thoughts? 🐱
Hey folks, I asked Xpose if we could have our jam there and they said that we could book a "Private Party" and have the pole room to our self for an hour and a half. The cost would be $19 per person for 5-9 people and $15 per person for 10 more people. If we wanted longer we could book 2 parties back to back, then the cost would double. They have availability on Friday the 18th from 8:30-10:00pm Saturday the 19th at 4,6 or 8 I think that if we did use xpose we should do a double party on saturday (maybe take the 4 and 6 slots) and then we could even head over to pole pressure afterwards for their x-mas party if we felt so inclined 😀 . It would be a fun filled day of pole 😁 Ideas?

I'm there!!!!!! I loke the idea of an afternoon thing, as well, b/c so many people have work/friend/family obligations during december - anyway - looking forward to it!!!
Okay Jc I will try to make it but I am not making any promises b'c the money is tight for me right now, but I want to try on planing on coming!! I will try to let you know more advance on when I can come, how is everyone booking a hotel room?? Let me know, and I will try to save up money 🙂 I wanna come!!

Sissy i think that sound great!!! thanks so much for asking the studio owner(s) about our jam! I'll be able to make it no matter which day/time we decide on, but i do love the idea of saturday 4 & 6! and i'd definitely be up for going to pole pressure after! actually, i'm personally planning to reserve spots for classes at pole pressure too- it'd be so much fun if a bunch of us (or all of us) went together! I'm super excited now! So what do the rest of you think about those hours on the 19th?? yay sissy for finding a space!!!! 😛

Actually Sissy, that deal is better than both of my other 2 back up studios which are P Spot and Body Talk LLC. But if we go to Xpose then we will need to around car pools. If folks are flying in they won't want to get a rental car too. Pole Pressure, P Spot, and Body Talk are all metro accessible. P Spot is $225 for 1 hr and $425 for 2 hrs (includes instructor, shoe rental, and grip aid) and Body Talk is $250 for 1 hr and $430 for 2 hrs (1 hr pole, 1 hour exotic moves and complimentary wine)

I've taken weekly pole classes at the p spot for a while. It's a nice place with 6 poles. The focus is more pole fit rather than pole moves. ie:squats, pullups but we've been doing more moves lately. Depending on what we nail down for date and time, I'd be willing to carpool to xpose! Thanks for all the searching, guy!

Maybe it would be easier if we could all arrange a time to meet in chat to talk about it? from what i understand, we dont really want to have any instructing.. just a party. It doesn't seem like only 6 poles will be enough for us (P-spot), especially for only an hour or two. The prices at x-pose are really good (depending on how many of us end up going), but i do understand that it can be a problem for some if it's not metro accessible. Maybe those of us with cars can arrange to carpool with those flying in.. if everyone stays at a hotel near the studio, i'm sure this wont be a problem ?? How many poles does Body Talk have? i say we meet in chat!

I was going to contact Xpose but I see there are 4 locations so I didn't know which one to email. If I could get the contact info from whatever studio you guys would like I will happily contact them. Remember guys we are only looking for the use of space......not, instruction of any kind. We do not need a "host" to help us with the party either, this is not a bachelorett party. 😂 I am trying to work things out here so I can go...I just need to know what studios are out there...I will gladly make the contact with them and explain what we are looking for as soon as I find out if I can go. I hope to know with in a week. 🤓
so since most of us will be staying at the hotel maybe reserve a room and bring our poles? if the airlines will let us?? it is just a thought, but i agree with azriel we should set up a time to chat about the trip!! 🥂
HI V, I explained to them that we don't need an instructor. Just the space and they understand that. The location I'm in talks with is the Arundel Mills location and I've been talking to the manager Hope. I don't think you need to contact her, unless you just want to and that's fine too. I told her we just want to have a party with no instruction or class. I'll be in chat tonight so we can discuss because it will need to be booked ASAP because they do book up fast. 😀

AHHH!!! How did i JUST see this thread!?!? Count me in!! I will either be driving or flying, depending on airfare...anyone want to share a hotel room?? I am not familiar with the area at all so do any of you locals have suggestions for hotels?? I miss so much not being in chat friday nights!!! YAY!! i am so excited i can barely stand it!! 😀 😀 😀

HI All can't wait - I would recommend flying into Reagan National airport (DCA) because the metro is right there at the airport - but it can sometimes be a little more expensive than Dulles or BWI, both of which are a ways outside the city (BWI being the fartherst, and in MD, Dulles is in Va) and cost around $60-75 for a one way cab ride/shuttle into the city, so figure in that cost when you book your ticket! There are plenty of hotels that are also metro accessible, so you can get around on your own (we have a miniature subway system compared to the likes of NYC, it's almost cute!), and some hotels actually offer shuttle service, so check that out, too - Tripadvisor, a website I use frequently for travel plans, might have some good ideas on budget hotels (I don't have any input b/c I live here 😀 ) I would also get a room mate if possible, hotels aren't generall cheap around here. Just generally stay away from hotels in Northeast and Southeast DC....I'm sure some are fine... but, generally.. A quick search I found an Econo lodge with free breakfast 3 blocks from Metro in Arlington (close to the city) for $99/night for dec 18th and 19th, 2 double beds and free breakfast. So this is just an idea http://www.econolodge.com/ As I've said before, once we get a firm date/time, I would be happy to help carpool and have space for 3 or 4 people (depending on whether my friend is coming or not) 😀 I'd also be happy to answer any questions you may have about the area, if I can! I wanted to add that since we'll be doing the jam at Xpose, it's not in DC (so I guess it's not technically a "DC" pole jam anymore LOL) so you would be closer if you flew into Baltimore. That airport is just 10 minutes from me and about 15 minutes from the studio. I can give you a ride Kari if you stay near the aiport or in Hanover. JC I think there is a metro stop somewhere near here, so I can scoop you up from there too if I need to. We will make the transport happen 😉

Hey Sissy that's a good point - my only concern was depending on how many people come in and from how far away(ie: they might stay the weekend), I'd be worried they might be stuck at the hotel with no transportation when not carpooling to/from the Pole Jam - so being at a hotel near metro would allow people to be mobile and downtown, or near it (Christmastime downtown is gorgeous! Esp the set up in front of the White House). Xpose looks awesome! I wish it wasn't so far away from me so I could attend on a regular basis. 🙁

There's actually a hotel right next to it now that I think about it LOL. Springhill Suits. It's walking distance to the studio and just a few miles from my house. If anybody stayed there I could give them a ride to pole pressure (if we were to go) and then drop them off afterwards 😉
