What can anyone tell me about the pole perm mount? Basically success with it? I have never felt secure w the dome and at 12 feet would feel more comfy w the perm mount. We will paint it white and would hardley even notice it. Really thinking of living room....the bathroom isn't cutting it for me. Thought about a SV pole, but since I have a brand new X, i feel i should use it and just get used to the chrome.

I love my permanent mount! Allthough my ceilings aren't very high (2,47m) I wanted one because it spins so much faster and smoother, plus taking it up and down is a lot faster. I have a pic in my gallery of the mount.

So how long does it take u to put up? I am thinking I will leve the whole pole together and lay it behind my couch, when not using it, then put it in place and only have to tighten it. Would u say A few minutes? Thanks!

That's exactly how I'm doing it. I even drew a circle with an pencil on my floor where the base goes, so I don't even need a level. It takes maybe one minute to take it up or down.
