Whenever I try to video floorwork I always end up out of the frame or mostly out of the frame. I’ve been placing my phone on the floor whenever I video. Should I use a tripod to fix this problem? My tripod is about 1-2 feet tall.

I know moving the phone farther away would solve the problem but whenever I’m at the studio sometime it isn’t possible.

Tripods can be helpful but also it really depends on if you’re wanting vertical or landscape/horizontal video. For the tutorials here I use landscape for flexibility tutorials like split’s because I have long limbs and vertical for pole work. Doing so allows for closer views for the pole work.

It’s hard to say without seeing a video or the space.

Mirrors work great in small spaces for filming when you can get your whole body in frame.
